I'm approaching the last half hour. Thanks for the warning.
Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
Chiwetel Ejiofor.
oh dude, I am so good! I spelled it while drunk & without peeking. I really love that guy.
Hey, I was really close!
of course you've seen Redbelt.
Ah crap, he's in Salt. Now I have to see it.
Yeah, I know. That was kinda my reaction.
I haven't seen the biopic where he's a DJ, but I'm dying to.
And you have to sit through Amistad but you get him and Djimon Honsou and Morgan Freeman all in the same movie.
He's just... I don't know. I heard a story one time, I don't remember who it was, but they were talking about working with James Dean, that just being in a scene with him made you a better actor. I imagine that's what it's like to work with Chiwetel.
I haven't seen the biopic where he's a DJ, but I'm dying to
oh yes! Talk to Me. Looking at his filmography I realize I have quite a few gaps. And I need to watch Amistad again now that I know who he is.
Yeah. I think him being in Redbelt made Mamet a better director, and I'm a big Mamet fan.
