A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

If I never hear that Arcade Fire song again, it'll be too soon!

(it is funny, though!)

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

In the category of WAIT, WHAT? Guillermo del Toro is directing a reboot of Haunted Mansion for Disney. (Just announced at SDCC.)

brillig

A reboot of the movie that was just made, with Eddie Murphy? Reboots are coming faster and faster these days. Must be Windows-based.

The Eddie Murphy movie was in 2003, and was AWFUL. I am all for a reboot. Especially since the BIG quote from del Toro is "Haunted Mansion will be live-action, 3D, and "the most haunted mansion on Earth." Will not be a comedy."

(Thank you, Twitter, for breaking news.)

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

The Eddie Murphy movie was in 2003, and was AWFUL.

Though IIRC a lot of the set and prop design was gorgeous. I don't suppose there's a design book available like the one on Alice in Wonderland, to spare design whores the misery of having to endure all the bad acting and writing just to get to the pretty stuff?

Yes it was. Whooo.

The Haunted Mansion: From The Magic Kingdom To The Movies. So not a complete design book, but it does have design sketches and photos from the movie.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

It's official: Joss Whedon is directing the Avengers movie!

eta: Joss sez:

I'm still writing the outline. I am at the stage where I am reworking and reworking. What I love about this is that there is no way that these people should be in the same room together, let alone the same team. And that, to me, is the definition of family.

move out and draw fire

I find it noteworthy that the official Disney press release didn't even acknowledge the existence of the Eddie Murphy film.
