What is it with health issues and birthdays? I was all congested last week, felt back to normal over the weekend when I was celebrating, and the day after my birthday it hit back again with full force.
I mean, I'm glad I felt good over the weekend, but this crap can go away any time. I'd love to have my voice back too. Please.

I just finished grading my students' quizzes from yesterday. Out of 20 points, about a third got between 15 and 20, another third got between 10 and 14, and another third got between 5 and 9. I'm trying to figure out what's going on with that last third. Am I not teaching the material well enough? Are they not studying enough? Are they not prepared enough for this class? (The material this semester builds on the material from last semester, and I have been seeing a bunch of errors with last semester's stuff.)
