Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Good health for Suzi's mom.

Man, I hope the Wallybee is okay. I hope this hasn't been one long, uninterrupted labor.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

All kinds of ~ma to Cass and her dad and Suzi and her mom.

Today is still cold. Yesterday was cold. The day before was warm and thunderstormy (which was rather pleasant, actually). I want warmer weather please. I know I live in (near) Chicago, but it's almost May. It's supposed to be warmer.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Hil, try putting a big bowl of ice between you and the fan, so it blows cold air on you. Also, iirc, you have a bunch of heat pads, yes? Most are designed to be nuked/boiled for warm, or throw in the freezer for a cold pack. What about a cold pack on your neck, at least to help you get to sleep. I hope you got some sleep, and the heat issue in your apartment gets solved soon!!!

Much ~ma for Suzi!Mom.

Librarian Warlord

Healthy parent ~ma to Cass and Suzi, with extra comforting thoughts.

We are finally getting some rain, which has dropped the temperatures and will, I hope, wash away some of the pollen plague.

I am trying to write a memo to the faculty about my upcoming leave, the fact that this will leave us short staffed, and I'll kill 'em if they abuse and take advantage of the nice-guy-ness of the one full time Reference person that will be here because they're too lazy to hire an RA.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

A google image search does come up with some outfits for men: [link]

eta: Argh! High-water pants! [link]

eta²: So it looks like for men, it's suit and tie, or jacket and tie.

“Not dead yet!”

omnis, dark slacks, dress shirt and spiffy tie ought to do it. If you want to make it really dressy, do something monochromatic with the shirt and slacks and let the tie stand out.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Perhaps that's post-cocktail chic.
