Sometimes when I'm sitting in class... You know, I'm not thinking about class, 'cause that would never happen. I think about kissing you. And it's like everything stops. It's like, it's like freeze frame. Willow kissage.

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

The Golden Girls was one of my favorite shows as a kid.

And Joss' dad was a writer on it.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

So, last week my former flatmate asked me what Prague is like, as she was applying for a job there.

Then last night she posts a Facebook Status thing saying "R thinks that Prague is a very elegant place to be." Unsurprisingly, I comment along the lines of "Isn't it lovely? So are you there for the interview, then? Or did you get the job already? Hey, drink a glass of Pilsner Urquell for me!" And another mutual acquaintance also posts "Oh, wow! You got the interview, then?"

And now she's messaged us both, thus:

thank you for your lovely comments. i would like to explain why i have deleted it. i haven't told many people at school about my plans and although the important people (like you) know about it, they don't. i'm in enough trouble at school at the mo without adding to it with gossip in the staffroom. so apologies for deleting your comment, i appreciate your well wishes.

love you,

R

And I'm just staring at the screen, blinking, going: "Discretion: you're doing it wrong."

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Another vote for only two wisdom teeth at a time. It helps to be able to chew on *one* side of your mouth afterwards :) I got the local + nitro combination also and it was fantastic. I remember the little mask thing, and then being at my dad's house afterwards, with nothing at all in between even though i'm told i was rather entertaining on the drive after, esp with the drooling.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Okay, the numbers being bandied about in regards to the flu in Mexico are alarming, if true.

I was hearing 1400 people have contracted it, with quotes of 20 dead, and maybe 81 dead.

By my quick calculations that's either a 70 to 1 (approx) survival rate or in the case of 80, a 17-to 1 rate.

Scary numbers. No wonder Mexico City is in lockdown.

Our wings are not tired.

Thanks for the reminder that Leverage is good fun. I only caught it a couple times live and somehow always forgot it was on. Must acquire for viewing this summer. Summer is my time for catching up on tv I missed the rest of the year. Most shows are more enjoyable in commercial free marathon viewing.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Steph, that was a wonderful story.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

not fair. I finally get a morning/afternoon off, right? How many weeks has it been? I turn off ALL alarms. Bathroom, cellphone, iPod, computer. All. What happens? I wake up without a gorrum alarm at 9ish. Body still tired, apparently brain is not. Go figure.

Fay, that is crazy. If you want to be discrete, um. Why post? ANYTHING!

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Is this the last paper, Nora?
YES IT IS!

SQUEE! You're almost there, lady!

What a great tribute, Steph.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

If a bag of flour is past it's "best by" date, but it still looks and smells perfectly fine, it's OK to use it, right?
