[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

"Oh, I didn't do that, I saw something else so I clicked that"

See, this is why I couldn't do tech support. Because I literally cannot comprehend how, if someone tells you to click the box that says "OK," you would click ANYTHING OTHER THAN THAT.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Because I literally cannot comprehend how, if someone tells you to click the box that says "OK," you would click ANYTHING OTHER THAN THAT.

But what if there's another button that's especially pretty and/or shiny?

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Also, that people can't remember the thing that they did thirty seconds ago. Or you say "okay, you see the green button?", they say "yes" Then you say "click on it" "click on what" "the green button" "what green button?"

Now, it didnt' occur to her that she needed to get the damned email addresses, so now she has to close the window. I explained to her that if she closes the window, she has to go through a different series of steps to get back to the evite. I start to go through the steps and she says "can't I just call you back" ARGH!!!!!!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Kathy, some people whose vegan taste I trust say that this place, near Cherry Hill, is really good: [link]

I laugh because I can't shriek my "I KNOW!" of agreement.

Your mom is the exemplar of Tech Support's Bane. Sort of like Isildur's Bane, but not quite so conniving.

Our wings are not tired.

I solved the family computer support issue with installing Logmein on their computers. It is so much faster and easier for me to just take over their keyboard and do it myself.

Feeling futless. I think I shall pour a glass of wine and watch the sunset out front.

Ohh, that's a good idea. Yesterday I was working at home and IT helped me with something using Crossloop. Free and easy!

The Tech Support people here at my job love me, because when I call them for help, I do exactly what they tell me. And because I don't do arcane things to my computer trying to fix the problem myself.
