[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Many of the terms we use to insult men are some variation on "dick": dick, dick head, knob, wanker, cock, putz, schmuck, jerk, jerk off, and so on.

And then there are the other body part insults, asshole and its variants being the chief alternative. And then I suppose there are the animals names.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

I started babbling about Heroes. She probably thinks I'm a TV obsessed loser.

...you're, um, probably talking to the wrong people here. I mean, that's kind of our mission statement, right?

All is well that ends in pizza.

I prefer to think of us as tv-obsessed winners.

YMMV.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Or should that be YOMV?

tv obsessed hipsters!

Hey Laga, I finally logged into OKcupid. Wow, they have changed things around. I thought there was a thing where you could click "I know them" and write a blurb or something. I dunno. It's been awhile. Anyhow, I sent you a wink ;)

Laga, she probably thought it was totally adorable. Here's to hoping!

So, I've been e-mailing with a potential roommate from Italy, who's doing graduate work through Harvard at the VA hospital near me. I just asked her how she feels about dogs. This was her response, "it depends on the dog: I prefer the calm and discreet dogs to those noisy ones and that want always to play."

I know I love my dog to an obsessive level, but does that ping anyone else as maybe not a good plan? I mean, Toto is relatively quiet except for a few play times and when someone comes to the door. But, I'm nervous now to continue with the process.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

That reads to me as someone who is basically annoyed by dogs, I have to say.

Ok. Good to know it's not just me. I kind of feel like I'm already changing his environment an awful lot. I don't want him to feel unwanted by someone in his own home.

Now tagless for your comfort.

vw, that's a red flag. Dogs are not discreet creatures.

Punishingly Intricate

I'd say that she doesn't necessarily dislike dogs or would dislike Toto. I think she maybe doesn't like dogs that bark a lot or jump up on you. I'm not too fond of those dog behaviors either and I love dogs!

I would just explain what Toto's like and see if that's something she is okay with. She won't have a chance to meet him/you before making the commitment to move in I take it?
