He didn't get a ticket. No one did. So, I think it was a no fault accident. We'll see.

And Shir, honey, breathe. It's good for you!

I just made an appointment for someone to come see the apartment. Actually, I'm really hopeful about this one. It's a student coming from Italy for a year. She wouldn't have much stuff, so she won't need a lot of room. ~ma wouldn't be amiss.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

On the lighter side - I need some fashion advice. I've been invited to a wedding. It's not until October, will be held in Florida. The wedding itself will be held inside, right around sunset, and the reception will be on the beach (I'm assuming something like a terrace on the beach).

What do I wear?

ack! it's been so long since I've been to something fancy that wasn't a business event (which means dress conservatively and, for me, in black) or to prom (still black, but nowhere near conservative).

help?

This was a pretty casual wedding (held in the groom's folks' backyard, on a river) in Florida in October! It was pretty warm and very humid. Maybe you'll get some ideas of fashion options (or at least see some beautiful pies!):

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

~ma to vw.

He needs to be informed that he's being overly dramatic.

Oh, he's just a Tolkienian (no, really. We've talked about this on the way out of class today). The expectations, I guess, are his way telling me he thinks I'm intelligent. The "oh shit", on the other hand, is my way to accept failing this paper, if it will happen. I get somewhat panicked when people I like expects certain things from me, and I try to please them (which might be actually a hell of legitimate manipulation from him, since my main motive to academic studies is "fun!", and not "achieve 80 on A, 90 on B" and so on).

But I do love that paper. I just know I wasn't as coherent and consistent as I should have been, but that's because I was so fascinated by the topic that I let it drag me into this, because I think doing a problemtization to the topic worth abandoning other aspects of it. And he can see right through this, again. If nothing else, I hope I was convincing enough.

Toddson - I'm thinking dark (not necessarily black) silkish shirt and gray pants, but that could be also boring, and/or wrong.

No fault even though he stopped on an on-ramp? CRAZY. Well, at least you didn't get cited for rear ending, I guess.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Shir, Don't worry. I look at what you type in here, and e-mails, and I forget English is your 2nd language. The attention you pay to writing is high. I can only imagine how awesome you are in your native tongue. And think about it. You have an advantage here. If EVERYONE did bad, and he read them awhile ago, his blood pressure will have gone done, and he will be reading yours in a more calm manner. If you want it, you can have some ~ma.

I'm waking up, to put an order in for work, then hopefully I can fall back to sleep.

Being in Florida, I wouldn't suggest black. Maybe something like these:

Thanks, Vortex. I knew black was out (wedding AND Florida? yeah). I'd been thinking of something sort of gauzy, maybe in a floral/tropical print.

It's just kind of difficult - I'm a plus size, don't want to go sleeveless, and I'm relegated to flats these days. sigh.

Of course, there's a good chance I won't be able to get the time off - it's just a week or two before our annual conference ....

The dress is sleeveless, but there's a cute little jacket. And it's a zebra print, which is very florida to me. :)

ION, statistics are from the devil. Or just the statistic questions I have to answer. Damn you, SPSS and mostly the lecturer who's (not) teaching it.
