all the killing anniversaries
Oh, man, I know. We got Holocaust remembrance day next week, and the week after that IDF memorial day (extremely different from the American one). I don't wanna handle the whole "which grave I'm going to, if at all" yet. We have an arrangement, the friends-of, after more than one of us got killed in the army. We have routines and switch graves each year so the families will still see us there (the guys are buried in different cemeteries, and the ceremony is at 11:00am, and you can't be in two places at the same time). So, all I have to do is remember where I went to last year, or the year before that (when I'm not joining my dad for the ceremony at his friend's cemetery. About 90% of his classmates were killed during 1973 war). And Independence day is right after that.
They must be Catholics
I know this, only from the "they must be religious", here.
{omnis} sorry you had such a bad day, love. I hope Fluffy takes good care of you.
Hey there--hivemind request. I just learned that I couldn't be hired for an hourly consulting gig because I live in PA and the employer is in CA and they can't resolve the tax issues. I was a perfect fit otherwise. Anyone know what the issue is? If it is adjustable I'm considering a reply with an offer to help them deal with the red tape. Otherwise, yet another entry in projectThisWouldRockButDoesntYet. .
Happy birthday extended ND.
I'm wide awake but have graveyard shift as the excuse ;)
Passover vacation ends in just about two hours.
Don't wanna.
Hi Sox
I work for several companies that report my income as self employed earnings. I have to file the income as self employed income on a schedule C. This has several tax benefits in my opinion. If this is possible for your situation I would be happy to share my experience with you.
Best wishes to all the buffistas from the hills of Vermont.

Hey there, SLNRLBF! (I still want to pronounce that Slartibartfast.)
I'm sure it's just part of the see-saw that is Cuban politics. But, could it be. Peace in our times.
Visit to U.S. in April of 1959: "Oh no... we're not a Communist government, not at alllll."
Or 1980: "Of course we'll let your families go."
"Oh wait-- we didn't tell you you'd have to take the political prisoners, common criminals, and dangerous mental patients as well? And that your families would be on different boats from the ones you brought? Whoopsie."
Color me cynical-- as long as there's someone named Castro in charge, I don't trust a damned thing they say. Doesn't mean I wouldn't love to be proven wrong, but somehow, I'm not buyin' it.
Hello SLNRLBF! Hope the hills of Vermont are doing well by you these days!
Next time our mutual friend askye comes to visit we should try to meet you at the Alchemist once again!
Thank you SLNRLBF! ::waves to Askye too:: I'll fill you in on the details off board. I'm not sure what I can do at this point, but I would love to try.
