[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

When you take an axillary temperature, do you leave the thermometer in place for twice the amount of time as for an oral temp. AND add a degree to the results to adjust for the armpit not being inside the body? Or do you just do one or the other?

Our wings are not tired.

I thought both, WS. But I usually use the kiss on the forehead method of temperature gauge. I hope you were able to get some good rest last night.

Yay for the mom of Aims!

Job ~ma for Matt. He really does need to be with someone deserving.

P-C, have you checked Kelly Blue Book [link] or one of the other pricing sites? KBB offers quotes from dealers, but more importantly, you can negotiate knowing the real invoice price and dealer incentives. With the current truck, I offered the invoice price and while they were whining "You're killing us," I told them I knew they were getting a $1,000 kickback from Nissan. I love the internet.

Every once in a while I get tempted to feel my own forehead for fever, then I realize that it doesn't really work that way. I've gotten some rest. I woke up at 5:30ish with a fairly high fever, but with the mouth-breathing that I was doing, I put the thermometer in the armpit. But I didn't have the patience to sit there like that for the full 5 minutes. So I guess I don't really know for sure how high it was. Took some ibuprofen and Tylenol, and that got it under control pretty fast. I went back to sleep, and woke up coughing. On the other hand, I do feel a lot better. And I just ate some chicken soup, which seems to be content to stay down.

I always forget how much I really like Saltines when they are fresh.

I feel like I'm choosing between the hot chick and the quirky geek girl. Maybe I'm making the wrong decision.
go for the geek girl! They are always the better choice! Um. That means the Prius, yes? Seriously, if you will be driving a lot, you will save gas, and that will offset the price in the long run. As Pix mentioned, brakes last forever! I have a 2002 with original brakes, and going strong. And the newer version brakes slightly different than my 1st gen version, and the brakes last even longer.

However, if you will only be driving a little bit, occasionally, the Mazda might be a better choice (I can't believe I tapped that. I feel like such a traitor!)

ION, last night I heard the Tornado alert siren. As far as siren's go, it's rather lame, and not all that loud. Thankfully no twisties in my neck of the woods.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Yeah, I'll check that out. Hm, it looks like he's already offering below invoice. Although, not if you include the cashback rebates. So he has about $900 more to go, I think.

Heh. Every now and then on weekends, I drive a lot, and I'd like a car I can road trip in, but on a regular basis, I don't drive too much, I don't think.

Hey omnis, if you and the Mazda need some privacy...

I think I'll need the privacy with my Prius, to sweet talk it, and let her know she is my one and only car, and that I'm not oogling at other cars.
