'War Stories'

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

P-C, have you checked Kelly Blue Book [link] or one of the other pricing sites? KBB offers quotes from dealers, but more importantly, you can negotiate knowing the real invoice price and dealer incentives. With the current truck, I offered the invoice price and while they were whining "You're killing us," I told them I knew they were getting a $1,000 kickback from Nissan. I love the internet.

Yeah, I'll check that out. Hm, it looks like he's already offering below invoice. Although, not if you include the cashback rebates. So he has about $900 more to go, I think.

However, if you will only be driving a little bit, occasionally, the Mazda might be a better choice (I can't believe I tapped that. I feel like such a traitor!)

Heh. Every now and then on weekends, I drive a lot, and I'd like a car I can road trip in, but on a regular basis, I don't drive too much, I don't think.

Hey omnis, if you and the Mazda need some privacy...

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

I think I'll need the privacy with my Prius, to sweet talk it, and let her know she is my one and only car, and that I'm not oogling at other cars.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

From Cake Wrecks, a corset cake. I think.

Polter's car-shopping is amusing to watch. For me, car criteria is "Can I afford it? Does it run? Will it pass inspection next year without breaking me?" Coolness and color are not valid critera in my world.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I always figured if I were to buy a car from a dealership, I'd ask the saleperson to show me the ugliest cars on the lot, as I don't much care to spend money on cosmetics.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

My main criteria for a car seems to be, "Is it weird? Will it confuse people?"

I did get a guy to exclaim, "WTF is that?!?" while driving my Lincoln, so I guess it meets my criteria....

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Hee to tommyrot!

I sometimes wish I had hung onto the baby-blue 1973 Ford LTD I had the summer between freshman and sophomore year of college, but there was no place to keep it on campus, and the engine was in such bad shape it wouldn't have lasted through the Milwaukee winter, anyway. But it was an awesome car to behold--I called it The Big Blue Boat.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

P-C, my DH is a car reviewer and has driven hundreds of cars and SUVs and truly his favorite car is the Mazda 6. He likes the drivability and the looks and also has high praise for Mazda service and support.
