Spike: You pissed in the Big Man's Chair? That's fantastic! Gunn: Spike, can you please turn off that warm fuzzy? Spike: What, the Lorne thing? Worn off. I just think that's bloody fabulous.

'Life of the Party'

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Even so, I love seeing the "behind the scenes" stuff, like how Keegan has to repeat the count downs a few time to get it right, or how Kerry (the "mean" judge) was really chatty and smiley as she wandered around waiting to be on camera and do judgy things.

My favorite part of the Iron Chef America taping I went to was when the Chairman declared the wrong winner and they had to go again. (He said the winner was Iron Chef Flay, but Morimoto was the one competing that day.) Little things that you never really think about while you're watching the show.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

On the radio today they announced that they're filming (yet another) movie in town and, that when you hear the explosion and see the fireball over the Potomac, it's them.

Let's see how many people didn't get the message.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

That has bad idea written all over it.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

eh ... they do it every so often. And they usually do let people know in advance. This is just kind of mind-boggling in its scale. (People still talk about the time they had a scene at Eastern Market - pretending to be Amsterdam or some such - with a major explosion.)

I think I may feel better, but I don't want to jinx it.

CJ is home on spring break, and is sick, so I'm working from home today. I'm in my room, trying to actually work while he is in the living room, lounging on the couch watching movies.

What movie did he pick from our collection to watch? Princess Bride. My job is done.

Those are cool bras!

So. Um. Today. I really get the feeling I won't have time for little things like eating or going to the bathroom. Ugg too much going on at once.

“Not dead yet!”

Hey guys--just wanted to let you know I made it through surgery okay. Still in the hospital, but should be sprung tomorrow, provided I don't need a transfusion. My hemoglobin is really low (5.5--normal is 12) and the doc is a little concerned.

Thanks for all the ~ma

Argh. Board ate my post.

Recapping.

Much healing-ma to you, Barb, and please keep us posted. Hil, I'm sorry you're in so much chronic pain and hope you find some answers.

sj, if you could define spendy for the various meals, that would help me give you the best recs.

Had fun taking friend T to Disneyland for her bday yesterday. She had never been and was so cute and bouncy. Nice to make a good friend so happy. And now I must wrangle Byron into the cat carrier and take him to the vet. Yay?
