Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Hidalgo is a big load of horse shit. There's no evidence that any long-distance horse race ever took place in either the US or Arabia.

As it was a Disney movie, I expected it to be about as historically accurate as Pocahontas. That is to say, much less reliable than, say a good retelling of Drums Along the Mohawk. Which is to say, I'd bet a week's pay that some guy named Frank Hopkins did actually ride a horse, sometime in the past. I'd put another $5 on the fact that a Frank Hopkins rode his horse for more than a couple miles at a stretch.

ETA: I'd like to say, that I really enjoyed the movie Hildalgo, far better than Drums Along the Mohawk, in spite of the fact that I have blood connections to characters in the latter.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

aww man I just changed the channel to Bear Grylls (sp?) cutting out and eating an eyeball . Don't want my lasagna anymore. I wish my TV could warn me before I flip to that kind of stuff. Although, between Man vs. Wild and Dirty Jobs perhaps I should know better than to flip to Discovery Channel during lunch.

brillig

Discovery Channel during lunch.

It's kind of like the first 5 minutes of Bones, where the special effects department shows off their gross corpse of the week.

“Not dead yet!”

And in totally opposite news, Pete Seeger won the Best Folk Album Grammy

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Is that one they're not airing?

“Not dead yet!”

Probably not, unless they show it in a mini-clip before a commercial break.

There've been a lot of categories announced already that I was surprised-- like Best Pop Album and Best Rock Performance (Bruce won that one, IIRC.)

Probably so they can get in more performances. Hopefully decent ones, but I'm not holding my breath. On the fashion front, Paula Abdul is massively trainwrecked, even more so than usual.
