You could make a quiche. Or a cream pie, chocolate or banana.
Spike ,'Conversations with Dead People'
Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
sj, good luck getting your travel plans sorted.
Happy Pi Day! I've thought about making a pie, and yet, I have no gumption.
Did Elsie come out of this with PTSD?
I'm not sure I'll come out of reading y'all's description of her "adventures" without it myself. Good gravy, the dream I had about trying to escape an abusive step-father this morning. Luckily for my sanity, the local PBS pledge drive featured an Anne of Green Gables marathon today.
What else can you make pie out of?
Pecans, and by extention, I'd just about bet any nut you might happen to have on hand would do in a pinch. Especially if you have some baking cocoa to add a bit to the batter.
hmmm, I think that I have some nuts. Of course, if I go out to get take out, then I'll stop by the store and get some apples.
I have store bought apple pie, which the kids won't appreciate near as much as my homemade pi pie. But lazy.
Happy Pi Day!
Pi Day is the only thing that makes me wistful for the American date format. Mostly I think ours makes more sense (she says, controversially), but I'd give that up for Pi Day.
...oh, God. There needs to be Pi Day SPN fic, for Dean. Jesus. Just what I need - ANOTHER bloody plot bunny.
I'm staying away from Elsie books because those are just disturbing.
I met 2 cats today. They were nice and I'm sure will be nice kitties but I don't think they are for me. I'm waiting for a "click" and there was no click. Or maybe a ping. but anyway no ping or click.
Or, of course, you can wait to be looking at all the cats and have one reach out and put his paw on your hand, which is what Amon did to me at the rescue event where I met him. I was looking for a female, though, and went with two other cats who either needed medical checkups or showed odd ailments that needed more treatment, so I shrugged and thought, "OK, Bast, you've made your point. Let's go with the Siamese."
Just got home from marching in the second largest St. Patrick's Day Parade. It was craziness, rush, rush, wait, wait, wait, rush, rush. I'm exhausted.
As soon as I got home, I got a call from one of the dojo mom's inviting me out for cocktails at her place. I declined in favor of a hot bath. A few minutes later her husband, who trains at the dojo, called to tell me the invitation is open if I am in the mood after relaxing a bit. I haven't decided if I'm going out or not, but I feel like I'm starting to build a social network here.
Suzi, GO. It'll be fun. You never know!
