I don't particulary care for babies but I will defend to the death (of Hil's officemate) your right to speak of them and reproductive rights in the same sentence.

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Does Elsie spend this entire book crying? Why is anyone supposed to like this character? I could understand if she were crying over big tragedies. But she's crying over every single little thing that goes wrong, and then, each time, crying because she wasn't enough like Jesus in patiently bearing the things going wrong.
I haven't read it... it doesn't sound like fun.
Hivemind, halp! Wtf have I got stuck in my head? It's a snippet of a song and I can't figure out where I got it from.
his name is Ira Needleman
He's an oral surgeon
anyone?
Laga, sometimes I worry about you.
That just shows you care.
Seriously, though. I know this is a real song. Possibly a music video. Backup singers are mooning about Ira. He might be portrayed by Rick Moranis. Was it SCTV?
Laga, it was SNL. Played by Gary Kroeger.
1980s SNL "My name is Needleman; I’m an Oral Surgeon. I’m 31. I like Star Trek and Barbra Streisand, and I’m tired of being a virgin…”

OK, this book is creeping me out. Elsie's father keeps making all these ridiculous rules for her, with the sole purpose seeming to be to teach her to unquestioningly obey. And Elsie is so terrified of her father not loving her that she does whatever he says.
Is there supposed to be a message in this book? Because I really don't see it.
thanks Hil and Typo Boy! Dang, it's not on youtube.
