Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Meh. Limited, restless sleep last night and a follow-up mammogram this morning. Yay. Last night the cat decided to curl up right against my good ear and fell asleep, complete with surprisingly loud snores, within 10 seconds. It was cute for 5 minutes, and annoying thereafter. Luckily I'm 20 times bigger than he is, so moving was easy enough. Still, 10 seconds from madly pouncing on floor lint to deep sleep? I'm so, so jealous.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I slept like the dead. Didn't budge until my alarm went off at 6:45.

Mostly I was impressed that the three posts in a row listed three different drugs. No Ambien monopoly here.

We can hook you up, dude. I know a guy who knows somebody.

Hey. New board.

I didn't budge when my alarm DID go off at 6:00. It's been a slow morning. Today may not go so well at school.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

I'm up, as is Emeline, though Emeline will not be going to school today. She got up at 1:30 am because she'd had a bad dream she was "lost". This may not be surprising as she's been pushing a 100+ degree fever all weekend. We gave her children's Motrin and she promptly threw up (we suspect it went down the wrong pipe when she tried to take it and it all snowballed...or whatever...from there). So today Aims is calling in (finally...she's been sick all last week and has been a real trouper for her work, dragging her ass in when she felt like hammered shit death because another woman in her office was out) and will be aiding me in Emeline care and we're taking sweet Em to the doctor a little bit later.

In the meantime I bide a while with you, sweet Buffistas, while waiting for Em's school to turn off their answering machine that I may, you know, let them know Em won't be coming in today and possibly tomorrow. I've already alerted day care.

Parents; we do more before 8 am than any fucking Marine.

I slept well without my usual sleep aide. I woke up early to take CJ to the bus at 6am. He is headed up to the big snow for an all day snowboarding lesson and fun. Now I'm kicking it until it is time to head to work. Oh, joy.

I don't think my brain ever stopped working last night. It was engaged until well after midnight. Then I woke up and was having ideas all over again. I had to get them down so I wouldn't forget them. While I'm glad the brain is engaged, as I have lots to do, I'd like a little more sleep!

Wow. We're still having the balmy down here. Freaky mountain weather.

No shit. Fucking crazy, man. I hope the Emeline gets better, and the Aimee too.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

There are no words to describe how much I don't want to go to work this morning.

First order of business for the day? Cleaning up and owning up to a massive error I made back in December (one I didn't realize I'd made until I made the mistake of checking my work email on Saturday morning). Gah.

Also, full of gronk from the change to DST. That does not help.

This always sucks. A true test of character, I guess -- we support you in email, Anne. Er, metaphorically. In the way that's not in email at all.
