Fred: The size and depth of the wound indicate a female vampire. Harmony: Or gay! Fred: Um…it doesn't really work like that.

'Harm's Way'

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Great news, Hil! Professors who don't answer my emails are on my List of People to Kill When I Finally Snap.

I like "brochure" for the new thread name. Or "buggered". I'm always fond of buggered.

Right at thread's end is probably the wrong time to ask food advice, but, let's say I stupidly left delivery chicken fried rice on the counter all night. Can I nuke it and eat it, or is it a Box o' Botulism now?

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Tally-ho pip pip, all!

Yay, for Hil's paper getting endorsed! I know that has been a huge pain in the behind for you.

The safe answer is to toss it. In your shoes, I'd probably feel safe to heat it on the stove till very hot and simmering it for several minutes, adding some water to keep it from turning into a crisp, and plenty of cayenne which is a fantastic way to ward off many forms of food poisoning.

not your mom's socks.

that's great news Hil!

Much ~ma to your sister Connie.

We finally got a strep diagnosis and meds for hkfan, much better and less horror now.

I have a hivemind question for later ... still gathering the words.

Cash I hope you're feeling a little better?

eta: saves something for tomorrow.

Librarian Warlord

I hope HKFan feels better soon. I sent her something that I hope she will love, and I suspect you will curse me for (har!). I have not been coordinated enough to get an actual card in the mail, but I might be able to do that today.

Happy birthday, Jessica!

Thanks, WindSparrow. It was less than $5, so I think I'll go with "safe" rather than "cooking".

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Facebook is confused - my birthday isn't until tomorrow. But thank you!

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Jess's birthday is tomorrow.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

I just skipped to search for the last ep of Wake Up With Laurie, and saw Hil's Happy News! Yay Hil! After all this time, I'm so glad for you.

A conversation that actually happened today:

I was having a conversation with a friend who just came back from Ireland, and another friend joined us. Said friend told about one of her hosts, an emotional 60-something Protestant woman, "who had strong opinions about Jesus, abortions and bisexual witches". I, of course, asked her what were her opinion on said subjects. "Jesus is good, abortions are bad, and bisexual witches are bad too, but it was once her thing until she found Jesus". I then asked the other friend what are her opinions on said subjects, and she answered that "bisexual witches are awesome, and Jesus and abortions? Even beyond that".

I want friends like Shir's.
