Jayne: What're you gonna tell the others? Mal: About what? Jayne: About why I'm dead. Mal: Hadn't thought about it. Jayne: Make something up. Don't tell 'em what I did.

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Our wings are not tired.

Delighted to see the universe finally giving Hil a bit of a break!

Aww, looking forward to the pictures, bt.

Hey GC, how are you feeling? You and DW looked absolutely radiant in the shower pics.

Why did I still get up at 6am when there is no school today? Oh well, off to the office with me.

Crazy that this thread expired so quickly. I've been fond of brochure as a quote for a few thread changes, so that one gets my vote this time.

Apparently if you're enough of a power nerd, there is nothing that cannot be flowcharted.

I'm ready for this thread name to die, because it ALWAYS earworms me with the New Pornographers' "The Laws Have Changed." Which is a fine song, but anything gets old fast when it's a constant earworm.

The other professor endorsed my paper!

Hil, that is excellent!

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

The other professor endorsed my paper!

I'm very glad to hear that. It's about time you caught a break with all this.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Great news, Hil! Professors who don't answer my emails are on my List of People to Kill When I Finally Snap.

I like "brochure" for the new thread name. Or "buggered". I'm always fond of buggered.

Right at thread's end is probably the wrong time to ask food advice, but, let's say I stupidly left delivery chicken fried rice on the counter all night. Can I nuke it and eat it, or is it a Box o' Botulism now?

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Tally-ho pip pip, all!

Yay, for Hil's paper getting endorsed! I know that has been a huge pain in the behind for you.

The safe answer is to toss it. In your shoes, I'd probably feel safe to heat it on the stove till very hot and simmering it for several minutes, adding some water to keep it from turning into a crisp, and plenty of cayenne which is a fantastic way to ward off many forms of food poisoning.

not your mom's socks.

that's great news Hil!

Much ~ma to your sister Connie.

We finally got a strep diagnosis and meds for hkfan, much better and less horror now.

I have a hivemind question for later ... still gathering the words.

Cash I hope you're feeling a little better?

eta: saves something for tomorrow.

Librarian Warlord

I hope HKFan feels better soon. I sent her something that I hope she will love, and I suspect you will curse me for (har!). I have not been coordinated enough to get an actual card in the mail, but I might be able to do that today.

Happy birthday, Jessica!

Thanks, WindSparrow. It was less than $5, so I think I'll go with "safe" rather than "cooking".
