Much healing ~ma for Ellie, Stephanie.
Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Yikes, Stephanie. I liked The Women a lot, till it got all sentimental in the end.
Stephanie, I'm glad your mom has offered to come out. I feel so badly for you guys. Poor Ellie!
Your situation has helped us--Christopher was reluctant to have Owen put under to get his 16 cavities filled. The possibility of an abscess, however is more frightening, considering how quickly they can get serious. Christopher's not putting up a fuss anymore.
It's amazing how a visual director has bad concept of time. Doing these projections. Basically text scrolling across the screen. Inning. Year. Location. Black. Pretty basic. They want the slides to fill the time that it takes for the scene change. So the director is like "make the slides move faster, but don't have them linger, get them out of there" I say that will make the sequence shorter, and end before the scene change. He gives me a confused look. @@ Where do these people come from?
woot! the Tech Director brought in his dvd of Dr. Horrible for me to borrow. I know what I'm doing on my day off tomorrow. Also loaning me Repo, the Genetic Opera.
Just in case anyone here doesn't read LJ: I am single.
((((((Stephanie)))))) Tons of -ma to you and Ellie. I'm glad your mom can be there with you, and you shouldn't feel one bit bad about it.
{Stephanie} and for good measure {vw}
Dropped my mom off at the airport this morning. It was a lovely visit, but I am happy to be able to relax. An 80-year-old with balance problems and one blind eye who "doesn't need" any help requires a bit of alertness. She also likes to tell the same stories over and over, which used to drive me MAD, but when she had her last bout with cancer I vowed to cultivate a zenlike attitude about it. I usually succeed, but it is relaxing not to have to try.
I ate enldess amounts of crap food when she was here and am now Fatty McPlumperson. I have to lose some weight before my next trip to Minneapolis, because I can't afford to buy any new business clothes.
omnis_audis, try and watch/listen to the *musical* commentary after you watch.
It's a musical version of the commentary.
It's brilliant.
Many of the commentary songs are as good as the songs in the musical itself.
