Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I have never used an alarm. As a super light sleeper it was never required. When getting up in the dark is required the alarm gets set, but it always gets turned off before it makes its horrid noise.
I am with Laura on the lifelong insomnia and the light sleeping. And while I have always been able to get out of bed in the morning, I'm a stumbling sleepwalker for the first 15 minutes of the day. Back when I was a teenager and someone else was making coffee for me, I could stretch out the sleepwalking for 30 minutes.
Boinked my funny bone this morning at 9:00 A.M. Now past two pm and still aching. Stupid nerves, don't they know that particular pain is not supposed to last more than 15 minutes?
Things not to do the week after having bronchitis: Take a group home full of developmentally disabled adults on a hike.
Not going into details about how bad an idea it was. It was a beautiful day, too gorgeous and mild to waste. We had to take advantage of it. And I so wanted it to work. It was my idea. Stupid weak bronchial tubes.
Oh, Andi.
::gently smacks silly woman::
hugs/smacks Andi for thinking of her charges before herself.
I just made some raw(ish) chocolate pudding. It's really good, and really easy, but I probably shouldn't make it too often, since this is a recipe that I most often see recommended for vegan toddlers who just switched from nursing to regular food and aren't gaining enough weight. (It's basically mashed avocado, cocoa powder, vanilla, and maple syrup. It doesn't taste like avocado at all, just like chocolate.)
Ooh, that sounds delicious. How strong is the maple flavor?
It's not very mapley. And you can use other sweeteners, too. I was inspired by this blog post [link] and the box of frozen avocado that I bought at TJ's a few weeks ago and hadn't yet figured out what to do with. (I didn't use the fancy raw cocoa powder that she uses.)
I am totally making that the next time I buy avocados.
