I'm supposed to deliver you to the Master now. There's this whole deal where I get to be immortal. Are you cool with that?

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

The work hours are the hardest thing about teaching for me. Not even the hours so much as the start time.

In my previous career, we officially started at 8:30, but I usually got in around 9:30 (give or take) and no one cared. In fact, they usually liked that my hours skewed later because I often got last minute requests at 5. Our office closed at 5:30, but because I started later, I'd work till 6:30-ish (usually more like 7 or 8-ish).

Now, I have to leave home at 6:15 (at the latest) in order to be at work by 7:30. It sucks.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Well, damn. Me, I'm in by 8. What time do you leave?

6. Well, I catch a 5:45 bus, but I eat lunch at my desk and work, so it evens out.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Alarm goes off at 6am, and we have a whole choreography involving taking turns getting up to hit the snooze button. I get out of bed at 6:27 (3 snoozes later), hit the snooze, hit the shower, and Tom gets up at 6:36, goes downstairs, feeds the cats and makes the coffee.

Between 6:55-7:10 (less if I'm being poky about getting ready for work) we drink coffee watching the local morning news.

7:10- go upstairs to brush teeth

7:15- leave for train station, get there at around 7:20 or so

7:25- train arrives (ideally)

get into the office by 8:30am.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

ita, I suspect I don't get morning people as profoundly as you don't get non-morning people.

I just don't have high level functions right away. the boot up is slow.

Oh, yes. Once or twice, right after I started abilify and right after I started taking 5-htp, I woke up and was instantly *awake*. It was a revelatory experience. Sadly, it didn't last.

I yawn all day long. I don't even realize I'm doing it until people point it out. And then they make jokes and I want to smack them. Doesn't matter how much sleep or how much caffeine I've had, I still yawn.

The thing is, I could set my hours at 10-7 if I wanted to, I just can't stand to leave work that late. So my "start time" is 8:30, but I try and get there at 8 so I can have an hour lunch. Today I got here at 9:15.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

My nephew woke me up with a phone call this morning- informing me that his niece has arrived. The next generation is relentlessly being born.
