[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Ugh. Smonster is my sister in lack of wakefulness. The only thing for me, that works, is knowing I have to catch a plane. And even then, it's more like "snooze, snooze, snooze, OK, throw random clothes in a bag, don't take a shower, out the door in ten minute with the least amount of time possible to drive to airport and make it to gate on time"

Otherwise, I'm so late to anything I'm due at after I wake up (be it first thing in the morning or after a nap).

It does help that my current job allows me to have my optimal sleep time (2 a.m. - 10 a.m.).

my sistah! When I was consulting, I was well rested, and in good shape because I was going to the gym 4-5 days a week because I didn't have to wake up early or drag myself after work when I was tired.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Buh? What is that?

Smonster mentioned it: [link]

Looks pretty neat if it works as advertised.

What time do you go into work?

Microsoft "core hours" start at 10AM. For most of this week, I've managed to be at my desk by 9:45. The alarm goes off at 8 or 8:15, and I'm out the door by 9:15 - 9:30.

That will teach me to skim before my second pot of tea! That does look pretty interesting. I may have to get it for Beetlejuice the iPhone and try it out.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Microsoft "core hours" start at 10AM

Well, damn. Me, I'm in by 8. What time do you leave?

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

This is me. I get to work at 8, but I'm mostly nonfunctional until about 9:30-10. Even now in my current non-caffiene-consuming state.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

The work hours are the hardest thing about teaching for me. Not even the hours so much as the start time.

In my previous career, we officially started at 8:30, but I usually got in around 9:30 (give or take) and no one cared. In fact, they usually liked that my hours skewed later because I often got last minute requests at 5. Our office closed at 5:30, but because I started later, I'd work till 6:30-ish (usually more like 7 or 8-ish).

Now, I have to leave home at 6:15 (at the latest) in order to be at work by 7:30. It sucks.

6. Well, I catch a 5:45 bus, but I eat lunch at my desk and work, so it evens out.
