What'd you all order a dead guy for?

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

In not teenager related news I have had a pot of Cincinnati chili on the stove all day to make chili dogs later. It smells sooooooo good. It would be best to refrigerate it over night and have them tomorrow, but that ain't happening.

Yay, Dolphins. What a wild and crazy game. With UM and the Dolphins winning this weekend everyone will be in a good mood tomorrow at work.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

lisah, congrats! That's brilliant!

Am still A Good Girl, as was in high school.

Do not regret it, though I'd wish I'd take things more lightly. Not just then.

Once again, Shir is me. (Mostly. There are a few ways I wish I'd had more fun in school. But then, I grew up, tried such things, found out they were over-rated, and went back to studying too hard.)

My mom and I had a pretty calm conversation about my marriage without any yelling or crying.

That's really cool.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I have had a pot of Cincinnati chili on the stove all day to make chili dogs later.

I approve. You can also have it over spaghetti, w/cheese, for the true 3-way experience. Add onions or beans for a 4-way, or get wild and have onions AND beans for a 5-way.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Another good girl. No regrets. It possibly wouldn't have changed a lot of things, if I'd done a few more things. A lot of the things I do later and, like Seska ,I found them over rated. Or at least not worth the consequences.

However, I did not study too hard.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Like Laura, I was bad in high school, had Teh Sex, did Teh Drugs, hitchhiked, dropped out of school. Of course, I looked like a great kid next to many of my friends, who did what I did and also joined wacky religious cults or swanned off to live in communes with no running water or ran off to ride in a painted bus with a lot of hippie-types.

The'70s was NOT a good time to be a parent.

By the way, the friends who did this stuff are now a scientist, a kindergarten teacher and a political consultant.

get wild and have onions AND beans for a 5-way.

Awwwwww, yeah! Chili orgy! (hey, everybody knows that after the fourway comes the orgy)

All is well that ends in pizza.

Not to contradict your mom, P-C, but shouldn't that be

Om Patnim Manoramam Dehi Manovritanusarineem, Tareneem Durgasansar Sagarasye Kulodbhavam.

"This mantra is attributed to Goddess Durga. The regular and continuous chant of this mantra by the male section of the society helps them get a wife of their expectation. The use of rudraksha mala (A beaded garland of the seeds of Eleocarpus Ganitrus Tree) while chanting is favourable"

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

That looks about right too.

Unsurprisingly, I was a Good Kid in high school. When I was in elementary school, though, I tried to steal some change from the closet to buy a Goosebumps book from the book order.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

So 5 is where it becomes an orgy, then?

Yeah, that's the thing. I don't think your behavior in HS is a great predictor of the rest of life. The boys are good kids. It will turn out ok. Part of the problem is that Brendon had money in his pocket because he did a job for a customer of mine that was short an IT person. He unboxed, set up, joined to the domain, and installed software for a couple dozen computers in a few hours. The head IT guy was amazed that a kid could listen once to the instructions and do such a great job, and rewarded him well. So he was able to go out to eat and go to movies and such because he MUST spend any money he earns.

Cincinnati chili - I don't do onions so I made it with a good deal of rough chopped garlic. About to make the dogs now, with cheddar on top of course. I hope some of it makes it until tomorrow, but the comments from DH and Bobby and making me think that isn't happening. Never made it this way before. Chocolate in chili, huh. Sure smells good.
