Mal: Does.. um.. does this seem kind of tight? Kaylee: Shows off your backside.

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I'll get maybe 20 kids or so coming through my neighborhood.

In order to keep myself from gorging on candy, I bought an assortment of Hot Tamales and Junior Mints. I'd rather gargle with napalm than eat either one.

Fortunately, the local yarn shop had a dish of candy corn, and the Y had a dish of candy out (nice of them to sabotage peoples' workouts...) so I got my requisite solidified corn sugar and mini-KitKat.

This year, I'm dressing up as a werewolf. Since there's no full moon tonight, it's an easy, easy costume.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

The teenager upstairs is officially on the list. They just made fun of my costume.

Teenagers mock because they are insecure, sj, just try to remember that.

Laga, you'd be welcome to spend the night. We have a nice, germ-free guest room (I promise not to sneeze on you). We're a lot closer to Universal, so you'd be able to sleep in later, too. I'm going to go up to HHN for a little bit with Cricket tonight, actually, so you'd just have to bring your DS sweatshirt if you wanted to join us. You're on the crew list, after all.

I would probably remember that if they weren't always making so much noise, but I really can't stand them to begin with.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Ooh temptier and temptier. I did already commit to gaming in Long Beach today but those plans are on shaky ground so if they do fall through I will give you a call.

I can't talk, so texting or email is a better bet. Otherwise you'll call me and just get raspy whispering sounds on the other end.

I would probably remember that if they weren't always making so much noise, but I really can't stand them to begin with.

Oh I'm not saying you should like them. Just saying don't feel badly about them mocking you, because it's almost definitely not about you.

Happy Anniversary to the House of Reason!

Happy Birthday to Daniel!

Am supposed to be going to a party tonight. Disney-themed, and I happen to have a Cinderella costume that I haven't worn yet. And I had a haircut appt this morning, so I had her give me an appropriate updo. And there's going to be a live rockabilly band. But it's in Chula Vista (40-45ish min drive), and I've had such an xhausting week that me & my fancy updo are sooo tempted to stay home in inside pants. Someone encourage me to get off my lazy butt? Thx.

Happy Wedding, Nicole! Happy Anniversary, Jilli and Pete! (Was it someone's birthday too? My brain is melty...)

My brain is kinda melty. I slept in late and had brunch with a friend and hit the grocery store briefly, and now am contemplating a nap before Halloween festivities. Last minute I decided on a pirate costume, because I can easily throw it together with an eyepatch I bought at Archie McPhee's. Arrr.

To amuse you all, my moment last weekend of very-un-meara lack-of-fliration: I had been talking with this hottie about stuff, and she'd mentioned she had a girlfriend. Then we talked about how she was considering applying to be on the board of the conference, and since I"m on the board, I went into all professional mode, and we discussed that for a while (this was all v. late at night, at the after-party for the show). Then we went our separate ways and continued to enjoy the party. As the party wound down, and broke up, she came over and said...

Her: "I enjoyed talking with you, thank you for the information, and I wanted to let you know I think you're very attractive

Me: "....I thought you had a girlfriend"

Her: "? I do. I just wantd to tell you that"

Me: "Oh. Uh. You're really cute too. Um." (Both walk away, me with hand in face)
