Shir, I've read several of your posts about this move back in with your parents, but I'm still kind of confused about why you're doing it.
Obviously you don't have much choice in the matter, since it seems to be making you very unhappy - I don't want to add to that unhappiness, but could you (or maybe someone else?) explain to me why you're in this position?
Well, Fay, it has several reasons.
The first is the economic one. Since I lost my job almost a year ago, after a few months the money was gone (except for the part I saved for my tuition). Until I'll get another job (which will probably be only next year), I won't be able to afford a place, and I don't want my parents to pay for it.
The second is my sister. She had (and still have) a long, hard, meaningful army service, and that affected our whole family. I feel like we should have the time to spend together as a family - I left home at 15, and my sister then was 11. I feel like we should get to know each other better.
The third reason is that they are moving to a place that's close to my university, so it's easier to move in with them.
And the main reason, of course, of why we moving to he settlement is the freaking dog. I love him, I really do, but if we wouldn't have him we wouldn't need a place with a yard, and would be able to live within 1967 borders.
Happy Hallowe'en Wedding Day Nicole!
These are all
excellent
reasons, Shir. I'm very sorry that it means you're moving into a settlement, but I can certainly understand your rationale.
Happy Birthday to Daniel!
Happy Anniversary to the Reasons!
Happy Wedding Day to Nicole!
{{Shir}} You are doing this for good reasons. The time will pass quicker than you can imagine, particularly with being so busy with your studies. It is tough to look beyond the present at times, but your future is worth the current struggle. I look forward to you enjoying Halloween with Buffistas some day very soon.
Whee! Happy Halloween. We're partying in the driveway of a neighbor. The neighbors are trying to decide if we should put signs in our yards that we are all over at the party house with treats galore. We get tons of kids every year first shift, then teens second shift.
Happy Birthday Daniel!
Happy Anniversary Reasons!
Happy Wedding Nicole and soon-to-be DH!!!
Happy Discounted Candy-Day Eve!!!
Happy Birthday, Daniel!
Happy Anniversary, Jilli and Pete!
Good luck, Nicole!
I hope our drizzle clears up. I have a shit ton of candy to move tonight.
Oh! Americans (except for Arizonans and Hawaiians, IIRC), don't forget to set your clocks back tonight.
I *loathe* losing the hour of light at the end of the day, but I have to admit that this is the first year I'm looking forward to falling back. I need to reset my internal clock, particularly as it applies to mornings. Sheesh.
It will suck suck suck to have it dark by 4:30, but I can't handle getting up while it's totally dark.
dances at the thought of an extra hour
Getting up every morning in the dark kills me. My body insists that waking up doesn't happen until dawn. Then all summer it wants to get up at absurdly early hours. The earlier sunset is a drag, but it never exactly gets dark here so it doesn't bother me that much.
It is a big deal when we get hurricanes and lose power for days because everybody sits outside at night to look at the stars we never see because of city lights.
