[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

my darling ND went out and bought a ton of groceries so I have food to eat without leaving the house.

What a sweetie.

Hey! You should marry him!

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Fingers crossed for health, Kristin!

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Good ND!

I will never forget when DH and I both caught strep - very badly - back in CT. We had to have someone bring us groceries. Glad we re where we are now. We have both neighbors and paid services that can help, without it feeling like an imposition.

Compassionately intolerant

I met a black woman this evening, whose husband is Japanese. She showed me a photo of their daughter who, next to Buffista sprog, may be the cutest child I've ever seen.

I've almost never seen white guy/black woman

I've done counseling for a couple of this configuration. Interestingly, they just wanted stronger communication skills and were not nearly as conflicted as the conversely mixed couples I have worked with. That means nothing except that these two individuals were wise and immensely respectful of each other.

I've seen more white men/black women couples on Capitol Hill than anywhere else.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Yep, Plei is me. I think the other huge factor, though, is my age. When I was in high school and college, it was not okay to be bisexual, let alone gay. It was really hard to find anyone who was bi (or bi-friendly, because that isn't common among women who like women), so I ended up spending a lot of time lusting and longing after women I'd fallen for without having a clue how to do anything about it. Men were easy and available, and I though they were cute too, so...I went with that. But I've been in love with women, no doubt, and I suspect if I hadn't met ND when I did, I would have pursued women more actively than men when I was ready to date again. It's a very different world than it was when I was younger.

Not shockingly, I agree with the age thing (us being about the same age and all). And the rest of it. Except the meeting ND part. On account of being married and shit by then. But if I *were* single, I don't think I'd be going after The Mens.

Let's just say, I was thinking lustful thoughts about the current CoS a while back, and my brain kept giving him lady parts.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I think I know two white man/black woman couples. At least, two that I can think of right now. I might know more. One of them, the husband is an old friend of my dad's, and they've got five kids, the oldest two about my age. The other one, I've only met the wife, but I know that her husband is white.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

But if I *were* single, I don't think I'd be going after The Mens.

Yep, this. But it all worked out since we were lucky enough to find such awesome boys.

Also, Aims, I just posted something for you in Facebook.

Always Anti-fascist!

(Boggles at Plei, again) Because in theory, I like both Emanuel and lady bits, but the only times I put them remotely together, I decide his life is easier without being born with lady bits. But I'd kind of like a society with hard-charging Emanuel *sisters* in it, I think.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

You know, part of me wants to do this just so you have scientific evidence to bring to your mom. . . . . What's the mantra??

Ha. I didn't get the mantra.

P-C, good news, Shrika and her mom ARE Gujarati! And her mother is really nice! I'll ask her mom if she knows a nice girl.

Awesome!

Or I'll start buying Shrika comic books now for your back up plan.

Sweet! That's thinking ahead.

I just saw American Idiot at the Berkeley Rep, and it was AWESOME. I also had a conversation with a cute hippie at a healthy fast food restaurant.

meara - Oct 30, 2009 8:45:53 pm PDT #28807 of 30000

...wait, was Shrika the one that was like, three years old? That's gonna cause P-C's mom to have a heart attack, if he's gotta wait, like, 20 years before he gets married! :)

My sister is white (er, duh), and her husband is black (and Muslim! And older than her! For those who remember those crazy good "my parents are insane" stories around that wedding)
