[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

And a high school math competition could be fun. Despite their reputation as a group, I swear high school kids are OK really. (Says the ex-schoolteacher).

High school kids are OK. Timing thirty second intervals for three hours is not. For some reason, in the job delegation for this thing, professors read questions aloud, grad students run the timers, and undergrads bring the score sheets from the individual rooms to the main room. Because it seems you need at least a bachelor's to run a stopwatch, and a Ph. D. to read questions off a piece of paper.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

My friend K to the rescue! She brought over a dress-up dress that she had in her stash - a black dance costume where the tutu is made out of strips of colorful tulle like green, yellow, orange, red, black, purple, etc. Em fell in love with it. So she went to school today as a witch princess. That costume with black tights and shoes. We put two ponytails in her hair and tied them with green, black, red, and gold ribbons and then spray-dyed her hair cartoon red. We took another gathering of the ribbons and tied the to a gold star-tipped wand. A dash of red lipstick and she was set. She LOVED it and looked awesome. She has the perfect complexion for being a redhead and I'm a little crazy in that I kind of want to dye it now.

Joe's at the Halloween parade right now so hopefully he'll get some good pictures and post them.

Cutiehead kiddos!

I am itching for a fight today, because I'm in a bad mood. I believe it has something to do with the fact that Maryland's tax information is of teh suck for those of us trying to figure out how to pay our nanny taxes. I'm have trouble finding what I need and understanding what, exactly, I'm supposed to be doing, and I have advanced degrees is both law and information science. Grrrrrrrr.

Our wings are not tired.

I love seeing all the Buffista Halloween pictures! Adorable kitty! I'm not sure what Bobby's plan is yet, but Brendon is apparently a Jerk, which has something to do with a song and a dance, and I am an elderly parent without a clue. He took 3 shots of the ensemble that he wore to school this morning. [link]

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Yay cute kidlets! I'm just wearing black with orange and black stripey tights. Not overly original, but it will do.

I also can barely swallow, my glands are so swollen. But my awesome doctor emailed me back at midnight (!) last night to say the bloodwork just shows a really high white blood cell count, so he wanted to see if I was getting better. Phew! Not horrible news. I am going to have to go in today to have a strep and mono test to rule those out, though. Fun. But good.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I'm in all black (well, black + jeans), a red scarf, and devil horns on my head. It was too cold for my blue dress.

Smart people can be stupid too

(trying out normal-everyday post-delurking type posting, lets see if it works!)

Hurray for cute costumed-kiddies! I work at the after school program of a prep school, so work today is going to be an adorable parade of costumes (and a bit of a headache trying to make sure no one ruins their costume out on the playground, but mostly lots of fun!).

I will be dressed as a black cat because I was informed yesterday that we (the teachers) must dress within a theme (the theme is witches, maybe I'm just stubborn but everyone dressing as witches seems too restrictive to me... black cat it is). I have to admit that I kinda wish I had Em's costume, it sounds way cooler than mine!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Well, witches can transform themselves into animals, especially cats, so I say you're set.
