Wash: Well, I wash my hands of it. It's a hopeless case. I'll read a nice poem at the funeral. Something with imagery. Zoe: You could lock the door and keep the power-hungry maniac at bay. Wash: Oh, no, I'm starting to like this poetry idea now. Here lies my beloved Zoe, my autumn flower, somewhat less attractive now she's all corpsified and gross...

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Pivot! Pivo-ot!

This will never not be funny to me.

And yeah, our house and Drew's studio are pretty much IKEA showrooms. The cheap stuff is not very sturdy, but the rest is a good deal for the money. I do have a dream of someday being able to afford real furniture, but that is a far distant dream.

So glad the TENS worked for you! My chiro uses it too, and I love it.

I am at Panera. In theory, I am working. In reality, I am mostly working but kind of not. I may need to give up and go home. Having my own little office space has made a big difference in my ability to focus there.

Oh, but I do have to share something I'm really excited about. ND and I decided we needed to get away for a weekend and not stress about work and pets and health, so we've booked next weekend at The El Morocco Inn in Desert Hot Springs, which is just north of Palm Spring, about a two hour drive from us. I am SO EXCITED.

ETA: The only room they had available was Rm 101, the Harem's Hideaway, which cracks me up. So pretty, though!

Harem's Hideaway

I know
A dark
Secluded place
A place
Where no
One knows your face
A glass
Of wine
A quick embrace
It's called
Hernando's Hideaway (ole!)

I have far too much from Ikea.
Yes, yes they do. But, because of all the Ikea stuff, I did get to meet Laga, so, all good.

The tables are good. I'm now at a 2nd theater where folks have tech table envy that are Ikea table tops. Vika Kaj I think. Anyhow, the adjustable legs are key for straddling seats across rows with different heights in a theater. Unscrew the legs, put them in a bin, and roll the tops away on a dolly. Works great and takes up a lot less room, and very sturdy.

I should be reading scripts. But I am horrible at it when teching in another show. Interruptions ruin reading, ya know?

o dear god! Yesterday, 1st day of tech rehearsals, we got thru 4 1/2 scenes of 10. Today, we have barely gotten through 1.5. Granted, we are only an hour from dinner break, but it feels like we've accomplished nothing.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, that looks gorgeous, and much more desk for the money. Only it might be hard to move. But once you got it in there, you'd be able to use the roll-top to hide away mess, which is important in a bedroom desk. You might check the dimensions with the seller to make sure it's what you're picturing.
