Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I wish I could stuff my uber awesome pneumonia cough syrup through the internets. It has codeine and goodness knows what else, and it works amazingly well.

Yeah. I mean, it WORKS. And some people don't have the side effects. And if I'm really having bad coughing, especially the kind with a lot of phlegm, it's good stuff--wayyyy more so than the useless amount of drug they give you in tylenol cold or whatever. But since depending on which kind you get, it maybe a "one pill, 12 hours" (er, that's what I've got in my medicine cabinet, gave to N at night, and she was cursing my name most of the next day), you might not be able to take a half dose, and it may last a long time...

All is well that ends in pizza.

After seeing other captions on this pic, I knew I had to make this ICHC tribute to Two Lumps:

We've gone live.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Can anyone tell me about Mucinex? I have been blowing my nose and coughing non-stop all day, and I would really rather not do that tomorrow, especially since we've got tickets for Watchmen. Would Mucinex help me feel vaguely human?

I'm a big Mucinex fan. The three versions come in handy at different times. The one with the supressant is my nex of choice when I am not feeling all that sick but am still too coughy to be in public without being appalling.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I am taking the mucinex and Zypac as doc confirmed bronchitis this morning.

And also? I have a goiter. Which is normally not cause for concern, but with family Hx of thyroid cancer....I have an ultrasound and more bloodwork next week.

I am, in the words of Christian Siriano, a hot mess.

And because it deserves a post separate from the Aims hotness:

I knew what ghillie suits were ... perhaps I watch too much TV.

Aims, I also need to schedule a thyroid ultrasound. The flabby stuff under my chin worried the doctor.

Mucinex is helpful if you want to get your mucus moving. I'm prone to sinus infections and, if I take a decongestant or something to dry up the mucus, it gets worse. The mucinex - get the stuff with the cough suppresant, the regular stuff will make you cough - keeps the icky infected mucus from getting stuck in my sinuses and making things worse. TMI?

DCJ, since most of us have learned not to click on ita's links, perhaps we shouldn't google anything she recommends.

And, on the good side, I'm working on developing some courage. Yesterday I spoke with our COO about moving into my ex-boss's job. Today I called up a doctor's supervisor to complain about the way he treated me. um ... yay?
