Lydia: But you are a vampire. Spike: If I'm not, I'm gonna be pissed about drinking all that blood.

'Potential'

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Thrive to spite them

He's not an MD. He has to BAs one in English the other in Psychology and he has a Doctor of Chiropractic from Life University.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Grump. I arranged to meet someone I vaguely know from LJ (and had chatted with in person last weekend at the gothy vendor fair) at a tea shop downtown. I got there on time, waited almost 90 minutes, but the person was a no-show. So now I bus home.

And while this is really bitchy of me, I wish I had looked at their LJ entry where they talk about being an Otherkin before I had arranged to meet them. People who are Otherkin are notoriously flaky.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

People who are Otherkin are notoriously flaky.

I had to google that. Otherkin

Huh. What kind of otherkin is this person?

One of the feline type, I guess.

Basically this guy is saying the small pox vaccine did nothing to eradicate small pox most of his information comes from the 19th century and he pretty much glosses over the 20th except to say the small pox vaccine caused more small pox than it cured. And that the only reason the the US and other countries stopped giving the vaccine was that it killed so many people.

And he doesn't believe in germs either. And that antibiotics make you sicker and that rabies shots kill people and bunch other crack pot stuff.

But I bet he doesn't have a medical license so there's probably no one to file a complaint with.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I just Googled Otherkin. Uh. I'm sorry, Jilli. I hate flakes. Except Frosted and Corn.

Seska, I'm sorry you were abused by an asshole but glad for PC Barry, who is going to confuse me every time I see his name.

Tep, WTF Bruce has a son??

Toddson, eep! Glad your appendix was ectomied in time.

I didn't see anyone else's blind date advice today, but it went okay. She acknowledged that it was awkward right off, and I agreed, so we were at least both similarly at a loss as to what the hell we were supposed to talk about. But we talked for about half an hour, I think, and I have no idea how she feels, but it wasn't horrible, so I guess we'll e-mail and see whether we really like each other.

I know you guys have heard about this whole process from my end, but here are some amusing tidbits from her end. I'm the second person she's met. Sometimes her dad will call her up and give her an e-mail address for a potential future husband. Just an e-mail address, because he doesn't know his name. And the best part? She learned that she would be meeting me today on WEDNESDAY. (She was packing for the wedding and her mom was all, you know, you should take a new outfit, wink wink. I told her she looked good in it. She's cuter in person than in the pictures I saw. She looks kind of like Mindy Kaling.)

Oh! Also, apparently my parents have been including that page of Testimonials I solicited like three years ago with my biodata. She thought that they might have been from my professors.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Photos of my soon to be home: [link]

The photos just don't do justice to the true horror that is the bathroom right now. You really have to try and stand inside to truly appreciate the lack of space.

Soon, there will be "after" pictures. They will not feature reflective wallpaper or highly saturated carpetting. I am fully of DIY excitement! (And dread. The flip side of the excitement is dread).

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Erin, I think it's slightly larger than the bathroom at our old house. But only slightly. (Mostly, it's just a much better layout than Old Bathroom.)

4'8" by 6' are the dimensions of the room (including space taken up by tub.) I greatly look forward to making that 4'8" by 9'. Oh yeah!!!! Show me the elbow room!
