The footwear I am most coveting at the moment (because when am I not, even if I did recently get new boots) are a pair of the long-discontinued, limited-edition Fluevog Babycake boots in pink and burgundy: [link]
They occasionally turn up on eBay. For
FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS.
I have dreams of finding a pair in a thrift store.
Oh, the teacup pumps are extremely cute. They seem very Marie Antoinette, somehow.
I can see why you'd want those Fluevog's, Jilli. They are pretty perfect.

I have them in black (they were the Fluevogs I held the closet culling sale in aid of), and they are INSANELY comfortable. Possibly the most comfortable boots I've ever worn.
That's a little unfair of them. Though cute + comfortable = expensive, so my sense of how the world works isn't totally upset.
If only Fluevog allowed for insteps in their shoe design!
BTW, Jilli, I finally finished reading Gothic Charm School (my brain was demanding fiction for a while there. I don't try to argue with it when it gets like that) and I am newly inspired to revamp my wardrobe, albeit very very slowly. I
think
I have unpacked all the pieces of my sewing machine...
{{Sparky & K - health~ma}}
Tummy~ma to Tom - I've been there and it sucks. Hope they find out that its something quick that will go away.
ETA - YAY Barb!
Hee! I'm glad the book inspired you to unpack the sewing machine, -t!
Yay, BarbBook!!
Euch, I hope Tom feels better. I am on day three of stomach and headaches and I feel for all the crappy-feeling peeps.

I'm so jazzed.
Good job, Erin's BF!
Btw, Jilli, I've been meaning to mention that Booksmith has your book on display in their window for Halloween. And they also have a shelf devoted to Books In the Window so it's getting extra looks.
