The footwear I am most coveting at the moment (because when am I not, even if I did recently get new boots) are a pair of the long-discontinued, limited-edition Fluevog Babycake boots in pink and burgundy: [link]

They occasionally turn up on eBay. For FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS.

I have dreams of finding a pair in a thrift store.

I have them in black (they were the Fluevogs I held the closet culling sale in aid of), and they are INSANELY comfortable. Possibly the most comfortable boots I've ever worn.

BTW, Jilli, I finally finished reading Gothic Charm School (my brain was demanding fiction for a while there. I don't try to argue with it when it gets like that) and I am newly inspired to revamp my wardrobe, albeit very very slowly. I think I have unpacked all the pieces of my sewing machine...
