I couldn't believe it the first twenty times you told us, but it's starting to sink in now.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Ongoing moving~ma to Shir, and to java's boyfriend.

Glamcookie, I hope you get power back soon. That must be a nightmare.

PC, presentation~ma. When do you present it?

Wishing Em some feeling-better~ma!

Have never, ever had short hair - a buzz cut is beyond what I can imagine. I had a bob once. It was too short for me and I grew it out. My happy length is just past my shoulders. (Need a haircut. And a colour. How is it possible for a 31-year-old to have this much grey? Gah.)

I'm thinking of extending my new PCA's probation time. She's driving me crazy, but not in such a way that she can be trained out of. Just general crazy-driving-ness. Doesn't help that I know my old PCA - who is an absolute star - may be regularly available in about a month. And that she did a shift for me yesterday. Gah.

Edited to change terms that may be misunderstood on the other side of the pond. But not spellings. I never change spellings.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Thank you for the condolences, Zenkitty, but that was a year ago.

I hope whatever you'll choose to do to your hair, it'll work great. Me, like Seska, can't have short hair (and I hate it. I'd like something more manageable!)

When I packed stuff yesterday, I found in all the mess what's now will be the pin attached to my Plotting Revenge is Fun pin. Looks perfect, and right now more suitable than any of my Jossverse pins.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Zenkitty, best of luck with the haircut. I hope you find one you love.

GC, tons of power-ma.

The bad news is, I'm awake. The good news is, I was able to get to the living room without waking TCG to help me, so the muscle pull is a little better this morning.

2,200 words into my literature review! Woot. I'm hoping I'll hit 3000 or so by tomorrow and be done. And then bring on the policy research and qualitative interviewing, baby.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

Hey, wow, somebody else is up.

I'm doing some last-minute studying for my Poli Sci mid-term. (Yes, I studied before, this is just to make sure.) Da Punk has to stay home one more day, poor thing. Well, poor Aims...she's staying home with Da Punk whilst I go matriculate and shit.

I love saying that: Matriculate and shit. It's like saying something fantastical and throwing "and junk" on the end.

"Yeah, it was amazing...the Second Coming, you know? There it was, the lights, the angels, the trumpets...wow. Yeah. The arrival of the Messiah and junk."

I digress. And should study some more.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Yay Seska!

I'm now one class away from having a full schedule, and considering starting protest watch in front of the rooms of my class advisors.

If they want it so bad, they can talk to each other and fix me a rational schedule. It's impossible how every slight change in one of my classes is disaster and chaos in the other, and vice versa.

I predict a hell lot of pleading in my near future.

Thanks, Shir! Good luck with your class schedule.

Your professors know you can use an M-16, right?

Wait...they probably can, too, can't they?

Firefight in the classroom! Profs barricaded behind their podiums, Shir infantry-crawling through the seats to a strategic position! Over the top, students! Take the blackboard! No guts, no audit!

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Here's what's going on: since history department screwed up (the shock! The horror!), I need to get into another class.

Here are my best options (both, to my surprise, sounds like very interesting classes: one about Islamic beliefs, the other about Chinese tradition and philosophy): one, which fit perfectly into my schedule, is full. So I'll need to go into another's class secretariat and beg them to get me there. The problem: they don't owe me anything. At all. With the other, I'll have to switch to another sociology class. Problem: all that fit into my schedule are full. There, at least, I'll beg to the secretariat and advisor of class I'm actually listed to.

The beauty, I believe, is that none of the mess reflects back to the history department, which caused all of the mess to begin with. Unless I'll tell my history advisor to get me into the Islamic beliefs class by talking with the advisor of the Middle East studies class.

God, I'm gonna beg the fuck out next week.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Liese, if you hate the cut, call the shop back and ask them to fix it. They should do that free of charge. Seriously. They probably don't want to lose a customer so they should do that if you're not 100% satisfied.
