Oh, good times. My mom just called me to ask for a favor. My grandparents want to go to a Diwali dinner tonight and they have no one to drive them (my grandfather just had eye surgery and there's family drama with my aunt and uncle). So she wants me to drive down to Belmont and take them to the Diwali dinner in Sunnyvale and back. At least she acknowledges that it's inconvenient, but she'd really appreciate it. I am really earning that GPS they're getting me for a birthday/Christmas gift.
Also, I have a new potential future wife to e-mail. She's in Oregon, but by some strange coincidence, she will be in Dallas the same time I will be, so they will try to set up a face-to-face meeting.
Scones look to be le yum.
Nice pics, Shir.
P-C, you get the Good Son award for the day.
I am being a Good Girlfriend. Letting KBD watch the Steelers instead of insisting on watching Twin Peaks. Yay for the iPhone.

I had a dream that I had a cooking show and I did a show where you were visiting and I made you lemon spaghetti with shrimp for dinner, then sent you off for your drive to NC the next morning with hot coffee and warm cherry ginger scones.
I wonder if I have ingredients for some sort of scone...
Do you have Wesley's emotional maturity lying around?
Can you say to your mom you'll give your grandparents the ride if it means you won't have to get marry soon?
Also, for the geology enthusiast: it's not the "stones" we were after.
We just love dykes. [link] (and we're true to the original spelling.) And limestone. And loess soil. And igneous rocks. And fossils (shark's teeth!).
But above all, we just love the crater. It's unique to Israel, and in the shape of a heart.

butter, flour, cream? perhaps some dried fruit or nuts?
I have accomplished everything I needed to do today! Which was actually just getting groceries and tutoring. Now I ought to make dinner for tonight and lunch for tomorrow and do laundry. And if I have time after that, bake cookies.

Heh, yeah, I was thinking that she totally owes me. "Okay, I'd like a favor too: let me marry who I want, when I want."
