Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Hello all. Are you feeling better this morning, Barb?
DH and crew are doing much better today. They are now looking for a fire house to drop off the containers of mixed diesel and gas. That was the recommendation for what to do with the stuff. He is now at KMart buying a new set of clothes since he hadn't planned on staying overnight or drenching himself in gas. Ewww.
ION, I must share my litter bug story. I went to McDonalds to purchase chicken stuff for my son and had to pull up and wait. As I was sitting there a pickup truck pulled into the parking lot and the driver got out with a big plastic cup in his hand and threw it on the ground before walking inside the restaurant. Total reflex, I threw both my hands in the air and gave him my most outraged
Mom Look.
He didn't pick it up then, but he did when he came back out and threw it away. I think I should do this more often.
Laura, that's just too good. Your mom look is clearly very powerful. You should use it to fight crime more often.
Shir, as much as confusing is, well, confusing, it could be good, too! I hope it works out well.
Great Mom skills, Laura!
Seska, again, I have no idea. The confusion comes afterwards. But Dear God, I think today it was over an hour and a half talk. Also, I don't wanna get confused where I shouldn't get confused.
If only The Look worked so well on my kids as it does on random strangers. They think it's funny. Of course they would never litter because they know it would be far worse for them than a look. Thankfully it hasn't happened.
glad things seem more rational this morning, Laura.
It is grey and gloomy out. My Cat is curled up next to me and snoreing. I think he has the the right idea.
So, I made scones for breakfast. Well, more like brunch. Dried cherries with homemade crystallized ginger. They were goood. [link]
If Buffistas come visit me, I will make them!
Mmm...Maybe I'll be there after a nap, Vortex.
If Buffistas come visit me, I will make them!
I'll come!

(Note to self after looking at the pics: buy a new bra, God dammit.)
Oh, good times. My mom just called me to ask for a favor. My grandparents want to go to a Diwali dinner tonight and they have no one to drive them (my grandfather just had eye surgery and there's family drama with my aunt and uncle). So she wants me to drive down to Belmont and take them to the Diwali dinner in Sunnyvale and back. At least she acknowledges that it's inconvenient, but she'd really appreciate it. I am really earning that GPS they're getting me for a birthday/Christmas gift.
Also, I have a new potential future wife to e-mail. She's in Oregon, but by some strange coincidence, she will be in Dallas the same time I will be, so they will try to set up a face-to-face meeting.
Scones look to be le yum.
Nice pics, Shir.
P-C, you get the Good Son award for the day.
I am being a Good Girlfriend. Letting KBD watch the Steelers instead of insisting on watching Twin Peaks. Yay for the iPhone.
