"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Why are the bells across the street at the episcopal cathedral playing Frère Jacques at 9 am on a Sunday morning?

I believe Wolfram & Hart created a costumed designed version of suburbia hell for you.

I just finished another delighting yet now I'm confused conversation with that guy (and I was wrong there - he's not studying for his PhD, but for his M.A..) If this will continue, this will be a hell of an interesting year.

Edit to say: thank you for your hugs, people. I really appreciate it. I'm just trying to let everything sink in, and embracing "I surrender myself to destiny, even if it's a bitch" approach. I'm just tired of fighting.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Wow, a lot of awful/stressful stuff has happened to my Buffistas this week.

Hugs, hairpats, chocolate, and stiff drinks to everyone.

Our wings are not tired.

Hello all. Are you feeling better this morning, Barb?

DH and crew are doing much better today. They are now looking for a fire house to drop off the containers of mixed diesel and gas. That was the recommendation for what to do with the stuff. He is now at KMart buying a new set of clothes since he hadn't planned on staying overnight or drenching himself in gas. Ewww.

ION, I must share my litter bug story. I went to McDonalds to purchase chicken stuff for my son and had to pull up and wait. As I was sitting there a pickup truck pulled into the parking lot and the driver got out with a big plastic cup in his hand and threw it on the ground before walking inside the restaurant. Total reflex, I threw both my hands in the air and gave him my most outraged Mom Look. He didn't pick it up then, but he did when he came back out and threw it away. I think I should do this more often.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Laura, that's just too good. Your mom look is clearly very powerful. You should use it to fight crime more often.

Shir, as much as confusing is, well, confusing, it could be good, too! I hope it works out well.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Great Mom skills, Laura!

Seska, again, I have no idea. The confusion comes afterwards. But Dear God, I think today it was over an hour and a half talk. Also, I don't wanna get confused where I shouldn't get confused.

Our wings are not tired.

If only The Look worked so well on my kids as it does on random strangers. They think it's funny. Of course they would never litter because they know it would be far worse for them than a look. Thankfully it hasn't happened.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

glad things seem more rational this morning, Laura.

It is grey and gloomy out. My Cat is curled up next to me and snoreing. I think he has the the right idea.

So, I made scones for breakfast. Well, more like brunch. Dried cherries with homemade crystallized ginger. They were goood. [link]

If Buffistas come visit me, I will make them!
