"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Ginger, I'm glad to read that you're ok, and I agree with others who think you should let the police know what happened.

Bonny, I'm so sorry for your loss, tons of ~ma to the family, especially the daughter.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I called them this morning. By the time my brain recovered from WTF and "I must barricade the doors now," he was long gone. My Ambien-addled brain was not working well.

According to the crime-mapping website [link] linked to from my police department's website, there have been four other recent attempts to break down doors at 2-4 a.m. within a half mile of here.

“Not dead yet!”

Bah. According to the material I received from my doctor about the procedure I had, this is about the point where I'm supposed to be doing some sort of emotional lambada. I was so sure that armed with the knowledge, I'd be able to avoid it, or at least, minimize its effects.

NSM.

I'm in want to curl up in a ball and tell the world to go away mode.

Which pisses me off because really, I've got it good. No reason for me to feel this way.

Bah.

{{{{{Barb}}}}} I'm sorry. I know what it feels like to feel awful for no good reason, and I hope it passes quickly.

Our wings are not tired.

Blah, I hope it passes quickly. That feeling isn't a good one.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

this is about the point where I'm supposed to be doing some sort of emotional lambada.

Oh, no. You can't do the emotional lambada. It is...

FORBIDDEN!

“Not dead yet!”

BWAAH!!

Laura's link made me laugh and laugh.

Teppy's response made me laugh and laugh.

This is both good and bad since laughing actually HURTS.

But I feel better.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Damn, Ginger, that is scary! Glad you're okay. Also, go Mr. Peabody!

My dad got bit by a copperhead while working in his yard this morning. He's okay but is in the hospital getting anti-venom. He got bit by a baby one and found out that they are the worst because they haven't learned how to control the venom yet. Craziness.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

bonny, I am so incredibly sorry. And a lot of strength, love and warmth to the daughter. I'm so sorry. {{{}}}

Ginger, God - how scary! I hope you're feeling better now. The same goes to you, Barb.

ION, I woke up on 7am this morning and hiked 10 beautiful kms with a friend. Came back, went to a lovely chocolate place with her, then she went away. In the very little meantime since, close people managed both to get me angry and disappointed after a perfect weekend. Came here, found the rationality I was looking for. Not in life, but in you people. I love you more than you know. Seriously, I can't wait to the next 3-4 years of my life to pass until I'll start my PhD studies abroad, far away from the "good" side of the apartheid and the craziness within. Because friends improves things by 500%.

We have snow.

We, on the other hand, didn't have the year's first rain yet. I'm waiting.
