this is about the point where I'm supposed to be doing some sort of emotional lambada.
Oh, no. You can't do the emotional lambada. It is...
FORBIDDEN!
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Laura's link made me laugh and laugh.
Teppy's response made me laugh and laugh.
This is both good and bad since laughing actually HURTS.
But I feel better.
Damn, Ginger, that is scary! Glad you're okay. Also, go Mr. Peabody!
My dad got bit by a copperhead while working in his yard this morning. He's okay but is in the hospital getting anti-venom. He got bit by a baby one and found out that they are the worst because they haven't learned how to control the venom yet. Craziness.
bonny, I am so incredibly sorry. And a lot of strength, love and warmth to the daughter. I'm so sorry. {{{}}}
Ginger, God - how scary! I hope you're feeling better now. The same goes to you, Barb.
ION, I woke up on 7am this morning and hiked 10 beautiful kms with a friend. Came back, went to a lovely chocolate place with her, then she went away. In the very little meantime since, close people managed both to get me angry and disappointed after a perfect weekend. Came here, found the rationality I was looking for. Not in life, but in you people. I love you more than you know. Seriously, I can't wait to the next 3-4 years of my life to pass until I'll start my PhD studies abroad, far away from the "good" side of the apartheid and the craziness within. Because friends improves things by 500%.
We have snow.
We, on the other hand, didn't have the year's first rain yet. I'm waiting.
Oh, Glam, ~ma to your dad.
What's up with the world lately? Geez.
Anti~venom~ma to your dad, GC.
My son is home from taking his SAT. He said it was far easier than anticipated. Maybe 3 math questions he guessed on. He knew all the vocab words, but he said the questions were tricky. But easy. Finished all the sections including the super short 10 minute for 14 questions part. I don't know whether this is good or bad. Part of me wants him to do brilliantly, another part doesn't want to reinforce his lazy lack of study or preparation ways. (I never took the SAT)
Thanks for the good thoughts everyone. And please, keep sending them A's way.
There is a pall over the neighborhood. So many different reactions.
Personally, I feel as though I've been kicked by a very large horse, but my bff is pulling me out of the house to go see an art installation featuring creative use of the Red Bull can. I wouldn't go, except that this is precisely the sort of thing Kim would get me to do...so there we go.
As a distraction, I've been planning on ways to change Bartleby's diet, per the holistic vet. One of the options involves slow cooking...which I've never done before.
For the kitchen gadget adepts among us, does this look like a good tool?
I've always been a bit afraid of pressure cookers and combo tools (if one goes bad, they all do, inconsistent quality, etc.) so, I'd appreciate advice on whether or not this one looks viable.
Oh, there the women are. Back later.
Ginger , how scary1
GC ,, My best for your dad.
Laura, I never studied for SAt or much of anything until college. Most of us lazy, but smart figure it out.
I couldn't teall, bonny. Does that piece of equipment have an insert that you can take out and clean? If yes, then it might be worth it
Wolves In The Walls Costume. (Several pictures - shows front, back, mask & details. Not being modeled by me, though.)
