[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Kristin, I want you guys to have an awesome, wonderful wedding sans craziness of any kind. So here's lots of hope that the stoopid resort people pull their thumbs outta their asses.

Thanks for all the kinds words, sympathy, wisenesses, etc. I am eating chicken soup.

FWIW, MO employment has to document umemployment "through no fault of your own." Methinks my ex-employers would contest. Eh.

Furnance guys are coming between 2 and 3, so I'll work on job and practicalities here until their done (hey, at least my bf didn't have to take vaca time to let the heater dudes in!) and then off to the apartment for some packing and moving. I'll stop by a liquor store to get some boxes for books. I thought I was going to have two weeks to do this, dammit! And I think I'm a gonna dog-sit for a friend, also. Another friend was the back up, but the main dog-sitter had to go to jail (!) and back-up dog-sitting friend has unexpected hostessing duties this weekend. So I'll get a wee bit o' cash and said friend will help me move Sunday.

Also, friends with dogs have immense plasma TV and surround sound, and I told my BF he could bring his Wii over and play Ghostbusters on it and keep me company.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Okay, Bitches, I need a straw poll. My BF, KBD, got sick suddenly yesterday. His symptoms are a massive headache, actively runny nose, body aches, and copious sweating during the night. He doesn't *think* he has a fever, but he doesn't have a thermometer so he can't check. He does have really bad allergies, but the allergy meds he's taken (generic claritin) haven't done shit.

Methinks he has the flu. Do I go over there and be Support-o Gal, but risk catching the whatever? Keep in mind that chances are good that he would not come take care of me were I sick, due to his anxiety issues with my neighborhood.

I want to be Support-o Gal, but I don't want the flu. And I haven't had a shot yet this year.

Your thoughts, please?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Night sweats to me sound like he probably does have a fever. It might just be a cold, but I'd recommend a doctor's appointment to get tested for swine flu, just in case.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Sounds like the symptoms I had with swine flu, smonster. Does your bf have a family doctor who will do a house call? We have a handy system here at the moment where you can get anti-virals via a phone consultation, if you have someone to collect them for you. Anything like that going on over there?

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I would probably go over and risk the flu. However, a smarter bet might be to buy food and cold medicine and a thermometer and bring them to him, and not stay there too long or engage in crazy make-out sessions or anything.

“Not dead yet!”

Oy, Pix, that SUCKS massive hairy donkey dick. They better straighten up and fly right because this is utterly on them.

smonster, it's good that you want to be Supportive Girlfriend, but he does sound as if he's sick with something potentially catchable. I'd be cautious, because the sweats do seem to indicate fever and the body aches also seem to indicate something else funky is going on.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Health~ma to KBD, smonster.

Regarding that, my sister feels better. We're not out of the woods yet, but I don't think she'll need the second ER visit.

Our ~ma is immense. Thank you for directing it here.
