Take me, sir. Take me hard.

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Emeline is very much her father's daughter, I discovered this morning. She has made up an origin story for herself.

According to what she told Joe waiting for the bus this morning, I am not her real mother. She was grown in Batman's belly, and when he came out into the sun, she sprung forth from his stomach, did a spin, and had a cape and a mask. Her name is Shana Mana Superhero Princess Emeline.

Emeline for short, if you please.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

She has made up an origin story for herself.

It is empowering and doesn't involve a woman in a refrigerator. I like it.

I do, too. Although truth be told, if I'm not her "real" mother, I'm a bit resentful of the stretch marks. I've worried a bit over her obsession with All Things Princess and what gender roles/stereotypes I'm teaching her. But then, I remember that for every princess movie she watches, she watches just as much animated JLA, Bats, and Supes so she's covered.

Of course, she still throws a fit when she has to wear pants.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Does she especially freak out over yellow pants? Or pants made of kryptonite?

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Of course, she still throws a fit when she has to wear pants.

That's ok, so does Batman.

No. Any pants at all. Although, she did choose out a new pair of pants TCP the other day.

Heh. I had a princess phase aged about 3, in parallel with constantly asking my parents for a "trayctor" (I got a little red one) and being obsessed with Mighty Mouse. I even had ballet lessons during this phase (ugh). It passed, eventually!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Aims, you and MM are raising quite an amazing young girl.

I've been on this diet for three weeks, and it's been going great. Now, out of nowhere, I need enormous amounts of sugar. Ideally some form of triple chocolate ice cream. Can I blame this on swimming, please? Or the Dark Side? Or my mother? Or former President Bush. I think he's ultimately responsible.

Or former President Bush. I think he's ultimately responsible.

Don't be silly, it would be Vice President Cheney who's responsible.
