Windsparrow and I just got back form Aldi.
Before I went I checked my glucose and was alarmed to find it at 85. So I had a couple of fun size Snickers and half of an Acorn squash, and headed out.
When we got to Aldi, I remarked that I felt a chill, and that was odd. The carbs hadn't hit my system.
We went in and I stretched a bit while Andi got change for the cart. Suddenly after cracking my back, I felt flush, and started sweating. Finally, the carbs were hitting my system, I said.
I slogged through Aldi, even resting on the edge of the meat case to cool down a bit. Finally we got through and Andi insisted I take one of her toffee chocolate slabs. I ate it and didn't taste it much at first, but then the flavor finally came through and I enjoyed the last half.
I was pretty tired, and Windsparrow did much of the schlepping, while I crawled into the house with one bag and an empty box. I sat down at my desk and checked my glucose.
67.
Oops.
Windsparrow sprang into action and got me a piece of amish 12-grain with some preserves on it, and then a nice big bowl of homemade beef soup she had been cooking, and another piece of bread.
And another slab of toffee.
Feeling better now. That was a weird one.
Have I mentioned I love my Windsparrow? Never mention it enough.

I think I liked your diabetes much better when you would get crabby at about 100. You being not noticeably impaired until it gets so low scares me.
P.S. I love you too.

so now they are saying the doc gave my dad's g/f the wrong info. The CT scan wasn't for a suspected clot, it was just to verify that all the pneumonia has cleared the system. I dunno what to think now. I think our primary source for info is starting to loose it. Which means the info isn't the most reliable.

Oy, it's so easy for the information to get garbled on its way to you. I hope your dad is better off than it currently seems! {{omnis}}
I'm sorry, omnis. How frustrating for you.

Now I got my uncle on the line, and he's giving us some info. Conference call is a wonderful thing.
