I don't know about you guys, but I've had it with super-strong little women who aren't me.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

so, I'm going on a work trip next week. I decided to download some movies from my tivo that I haven't had time to watch. I was very annoyed to discover that they had been copy protected. WTF? I just want to watch the damn thing, grrr.

The status is NOT quo.

Shit, Connie, I just read about your DH. I'm so sorry. How terrifying. By all means vent as needed.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Oh, God. Health~ma to your DH, Connie. And {{Connie}} please listen to the smart Buffistas.

As for the "are you sure you're not making this up" part, beyond my rage, let me just say - dude, even I, with English-as-a-second-language barrier, knows that there IS, in fact, difference between lying and making stuff up. And an ocean of tact between said two about one's level of maturity.

Maybe I'm breaking her spirit.

You're not. And remember that she tried to break yours for years now.

ION. My uni. Oh, gawd. Please, just someone tell me it's easier to get a good schedule when one's studying abroad, as this one's planning to do in about 4 years (Jesus, time flies). At the moment, my next year doesn't sound that great at all.

Our wings are not tired.

You are a good nephew, o_a. 3 hours is a long time. I hope your father's recovery goes well at home.

Yay, Sunil! Not breaking spirit, she could be picking her battles, or figuring out you are a grown man.

So Shir, do you want me to lie to you about the uni scheduling getting easier?

Jilli, I do believe these will be added to my wardrobe.

I'm so glad (most) women's shirts don't need cufflinks.

It's shocking to read the issues you have encountered in scheduling. You will find when you move on that these problems are rare indeed. My personal experience and those of all of the students I have known through the years have been most pleasant. Most universities offer an abundance of options and your success in finding what you need when you need it is assured.

And out the door to the office I go. (3 minute trip)

eta: Those cufflinks are awesome!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Uni scheduling is like trying to put a jig-saw puzzle together. If you're lucky, it's like a children's 100 piece puzzle, takes a bit of doing but you get it done with a few minutes concentrated attention. A lot of folks end up with 500 piece puzzles, that take a lot of time and attention for more than one day, but its really just a bit of a challenge. Shir's puzzle appears to be one of those 1,500 piece puzzles, where the whole picture is mostly one color so its hard to tell where any of the pieces might fit before hand. And even if you counted all the pieces at the start to be sure they were all there, it's so easy to lose count, and what if the cat stole a couple as they were sitting out on the table?
