[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

So Shir, do you want me to lie to you about the uni scheduling getting easier?

Please.

Jilli, I do believe these will be added to my wardrobe.

I'm so glad (most) women's shirts don't need cufflinks.

Our wings are not tired.

Please.

It's shocking to read the issues you have encountered in scheduling. You will find when you move on that these problems are rare indeed. My personal experience and those of all of the students I have known through the years have been most pleasant. Most universities offer an abundance of options and your success in finding what you need when you need it is assured.

And out the door to the office I go. (3 minute trip)

eta: Those cufflinks are awesome!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Uni scheduling is like trying to put a jig-saw puzzle together. If you're lucky, it's like a children's 100 piece puzzle, takes a bit of doing but you get it done with a few minutes concentrated attention. A lot of folks end up with 500 piece puzzles, that take a lot of time and attention for more than one day, but its really just a bit of a challenge. Shir's puzzle appears to be one of those 1,500 piece puzzles, where the whole picture is mostly one color so its hard to tell where any of the pieces might fit before hand. And even if you counted all the pieces at the start to be sure they were all there, it's so easy to lose count, and what if the cat stole a couple as they were sitting out on the table?

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

I have a serious lack of motivation at the moment. Today I have managed two e-mails enquiring about putting adverts for research participants in relevant publications. These two e-mails being just about all I've achieved in about six hours. Maybe I need to try working into the night, rather than trying to keep 9-5 hours. Something has to change, or I'm going to have to get a job.

Hmm. OK, that thought is somewhat motivating...

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Seska, do you keep getting distracted or were the emails just that hard to write?

smonster ~ Chronic distraction is the issue, yup. I thought it would take a few days to get back into things, but this is rather rubbish. I'm unusually tired at the moment, even for me, which is probably the issue. Not much to be done about that, though. Except more tea.

Talking of which, it's time for a cuppa.

That sounds so British.

I'm on my second one. It's not working yet.
