Well, personally, I kind of want to slay the dragon.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Guiding Light just ended. It was a surprisingly good ending. I promise I'll stop posting about a silly soap opera now.

Always Anti-fascist!

I posted about The Wire finale for at least a week in lj...don't worry about it. I hope that my birthday intersecting with the Jewish New year this year means I get a new start too(It's happened a few other times, but I've only rarely needed to start over more. And no, this isn't to guilt y'all into birthday greetings... I think it's cool that there are so many celebrations today, although if I converted it would probably be for the jokes like Tim Watley on Seinfeld.)

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Happy birthday, erika!

Hil, that sounds like a fun holiday meal. I hope your mom feels less stressed once the meal's ready.

Laura, violence in the neighbourhood sounds scary. I hope you enjoy the birthday celebration and that it takes your mind off things.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

And go Brendan for flicking kids off each other. If I were a kid and he came toward me, I'd be, "I'm sorry sir. I will just go back to over there and not irritate you."

I'll never forget Brendan breaking up an impending bar fight by clearing his throat, standing up slooooooowly, and shaking his head "no" at the two jerks by the pool table.

Thanks, beth. I feel bad getting sniffly about this when people have serious things going on. I didn't even watch regularly in recent years, but it was always there in the background, comfort TV.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

My favorite Brendan moment was at the DC F2F when I saw him sitting alone, so I rushed over to make sure that he wasn't feeling left out and he laughed and said that he just needed a minute, and I was the third Buffista to come over to check on him. He was very impressed that we were so into taking care of everyone.

“Not dead yet!”

Wishing the bitches a happy new year may be as observant as I get this year...

Well, in the end, that's kind of the point, isn't it?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, erika!
