Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

We should have a Live Beatle Rockband party!

Always Anti-fascist!

"I know your grandfather. He lives in your house." "Well, like anybody else, I've got two, haven't I?"

All is well that ends in pizza.

I heard a coworker humming Norwegian Wood this week.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I am off on vacation for the next nine days.

brillig

I've always enjoyed Help!, it's got that fun '70s surrealism.

And hugs to P-C.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I've always enjoyed Help!, it's got that fun '70s surrealism.

Mid sixties more like. But a fun movie. Though Hard Days Night is way funnier and cooler.

FWIW, P-C, I totally concur with Liese.

Here's the thing. You are not ready to get married. I mean, you don't think you're ready - which is how you're feeling. But on top of that you just haven't had enough experience in relationships to get married.

If you get married under the circumstances your mother is pushing, you're going to make two people very miserable. It will cause a fair amount of damage and bitterness.

So you need to say: "I'm not going to get married right now. You need to stop talking to me about it."

And your mom is not going to have a stroke on the spot. She'll be pissed and it'll be some drama. However, you need to - as Aims put it - "nut up." And it's not just for you. It's for whoever they're trying to hook you up with. You're protecting them from misery too.

Marriage is hard. Don't do it with strangers.

Do we know about this?

Google signed a deal allowing On Demand Books to print more than two million volumes in the public domain. The publisher’s Espresso Book Machine can download and print a book in the time that it takes to make a cup of coffee. The machines can be found in the US, Australia, Britain, Canada and Egypt.

Apparently the SRP will be $8.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Thanks for all the love, guys. Right backatcha. I just figure, hey, if someone can benefit from my (sometimes painful) experience, then it's all to the good.

And P-C, don't worry. You'll be fine. It's good you have this thread to vent in, and you've been very open about asking for input. I hope you feel free to take whatever we say and ignore whatever you want to.

Even less than this process being about your family is it being about us. We're buffistas, we have opinions, we show them. We're talky. But don't let that interfere with your life either. Step into it when you need to, and away when you need to.
