Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

will lead to penury, misery and possible erectile dysfunction. (And I don't even *have* a penis!)

Yeah, but you're going to want to have that booty part of the booty on tap, right?

I've never even seen that lipstick ad, but finding a red that makes me happy tends to make me really not happy, so I am fine with the colors I know work on me.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Wait -- teaching leads to booty on tap?! Boy, my benefits packages for the last several years have been REALLY unspecific.

(I always thought that's what massive amounts of tequila lead to.)

“Not dead yet!”

I wish you much sanity in dealing with this, although it looks like you know what you're doing.

Thank you. And truthfully, we've had twenty years of being the family rebels and going our own way when it pleases us. We'll get through this, but we just have to weather this early stuff first.

I'd have chosen a different career path if it did. No, cohabitation leads to booty on tap. In theory.

Hmm. Statiscally, a bf has gotten me more booty than tequila or teaching.

Which, really, is As It Should Be.

Barb, ugh. Sounds wretched. Making a decision like this is hard enough.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Ensign Rock's name is actually Naraht. He's an original character in most of Diane Duane's books. Ael calls him "Ensign Rock" in the Rihannsu-verse novels as kind of a joke, because of the aspect of Romulan culture (that Diane Duane invented) that focuses on the elements.

Ugg. Today was over SIX HOURS of meetings that morphed into one another. Only the first 3 were planned. Thankfully we took a lunch break. Schedule for new building is getting changed AGAIN. Although, for the sound department, for the better, a little bit. But it's making the baby jesus cry all these changes! I want to go home, but the paperwork I need to post will not mail because or e-mail server SUCKS and won't let me connect. This is a reoccurring problem, that will be resolved with our transition to Google (hopefully). And I'm hungry. WAaaahhhhhh!

I hope it won't be too bad. If a job comes through for Lewis, that will go a long way towards softening them up. And oddly enough, my mom's actually pretty much behind it, so that's one stressor relieved.

Speaking of moving though, Plei, Jilli, SH... what can y'all tell me about the neighborhood this house is in? Plei, I know it's not too far from where you live, yes?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Just skimmed a bunch of posts.

I met with my advisor today to talk over job application stuff. He actually had some useful suggestions.

I'm going to my parents' for Rosh Hashanah tomorrow, but my mom can't pick me up at the NJ train station because she's still feeling kind of dizzy and light-headed, so I've got to take the train into NYC, take a cab up to where my dad works, hang out there for a few hours, and then drive home with him.

I still need to pack my suitcase. I need two synagogue outfits, two family dinner outfits, one nice restaurant outfit, and three regular outfits. When I was a kid, shopping for synagogue outfits for Rosh Hashanah was a big deal, and those would be our Nice Outfits for parties and stuff for the rest of the year. Now, I'm just digging through my closet, trying to put together something that looks halfway OK.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

I love the above discussion and will let it sleep until everyone is back in the land of wakiness.

In completely other news, i have a new shift at work which changes my weekend to tuesday, wed, thurs. This is not necessarily a bad thing. My favoritest live band in the whole entire world (New Model Army) is playing Portland on a Tuesday night (i already bought a ticket on the assumption that i would FIND a way to make it work regardless of work schedule) and now am eying the Wed night performance in Seattle. Since i don't have to work that day or the next, i could totally road trip to see them two nights in a row.

Do i really want to do this?
