Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I hope that your understanding supervisor has a sudden, acute case of blindness one day when you're not there.

I just talked to her and that may be a possibility. Did I mention that she's awesome? My rage has subsided, somewhat. It's just that it was a frustrating and stressful weekend overall, and to not even get any compensation for it besides "Thanks" chaps my hide a bit.

Yes, first world problems. I know lots of people have to work much longer hours on a regular basis, but I think they are generally better compensated than I am. State job and all that.

Sparky, I hear you on the recycling thing. Our school implemented a printing cap a few years ago, and I think it's generally worked. There's no printing cap for staff, though.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Things that are chapping my ass today:

Being up until 3:30 last night working and dragging my ass out of bed for a 6:30 conference call. Am now trying to caffeinate myself enough to face going into work and starting off what looks to be a grueling day.

Confirming with my lender that my property taxes were double paid last year, which means I have to go down to the city assessors office and file for a refund.

Notice this morning that we're being switched from the 15th and last of the month pay schedule to every two weeks. I am so seriously pissed about that. Under the current, I have my mortgage autopay on the first and everything else on the fifteenth and then on payday whatever's leftover from the prior check gets kicked into savings. Now I'm going to either have to keep a lot more money in checking or be constantly monitoring and shifting when things go out, most likely both. Feh.

Actually, the other two are minor annoyances. It's that last that's seriously pissing me off.

Ack, brenda, no fun. I have the every two week paycheck and I'd rather have 2x a month.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Oh, and he had his first meal of solid food too.

Pfah. Not possible. Ryan was just born, like, last Tuesday.

smonster, that's horrible and stupid and rageworthy.

And, ugh, brenda. Much sympathy on the paycheck/autopay juggling, and I am your sister in gronk. I've been up since a bit before 5 because Matilda ended up in our bed again and spent two hours twitching in uneasy sleep and pulling my hair until I had to drag myself and my aching scalp away. It's going to be a hellish gronk-fogged day.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yay!

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Pfah. Not possible. Ryan was just born, like, last Tuesday.

Yeah, I know, but if he's going to cook for us he needs to understand what he's aiming for, y'know?

Librarian Warlord

Oi. I post transcripts of a class to a website. I'm supposed to receive copies of the transcripts, but since I hadn't gotten any for a week, I asked the company what was going on. The boss there decided it was too difficult for him to "monitor the transcriptionists" to make sure they sent transcripts to me and to the deaf student for whom they are prepared, and so they just stopped.

::headdesk::

I love Ryan updates. So adorable!

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

What the fucking fuck, Sparky? They just stopped? And this is a company, as in a supposed group of professional grown-up people conducting a business for pay, and they just stopped because it was too hard for the boss to behave in a boss-like fashion? That's utterly HULK SMASH.

Shit, send the damn transcripts to me. I'll do 'em, no lame excuses.

I mean, shit.
