Wesley: Feng Shui. Gunn: Right. What's that mean again? Wesley: That people will believe anything. Actually, in this place, Feng Shui will probably have enormous significance. I'll align my furniture the wrong way and suddenly catch fire or turn into a pudding.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Barb, you realize, the envy is THICK in my office right now! I say, go chronologically.

“Not dead yet!”

I was thinking chronologically was the way to go. They're even arranged that way in the case.

I can't believe I actually have it in my hot little hands.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

On the campaigning front, today is just turning out to be surreal.

I'm on the planning committee of a group that runs gay-friendly activities at the Greenbelt Christian arts festival (the one I went to a few weeks ago). Said festival is being criticised by a quite influenctial right-wing Christian group, for being too 'pro-gay' (it's not, it's just balanced, unlike them). Our group has now been targetted. Personal photos, of nothing more odd than friends hanging out at a festival, on our (locked) Facebook group have somehow made it onto the right-wing group's website. And we're being libelled all over the place. It's so surreal, it's really quite funny. We're considering our legal position, and everything. All this for what is basically a supportive group of friends that arranges a few events at a minority-interest festival...

I should make this campaigning thing my actual profession. Apparently I work with groups that know how to get attention.

More wine!

Yeah, the name of some breakfast food or other.

Barb! Amazing presents. Have you listened yet?

Barb! Amazing presents. Have you listened yet?

As we speak. Finally decided to go in chronological order. Cracked open Please Please Me and turned the volume up to 11.

How much do I love that Abby came out of her room, shook her head at her nutty mother, then proceeded to sing along with "I Saw Her Standing There?"

I love my kids.

aw. Well reared kids, I say. Good job on your part!

ION. Just got back from lunching. Grumbling the whole time about the asshattnes I'm dealing with on multiple fronts. And I get TWO lovely e-mails. First, notifying us that the possible rental of the old theater that was to happen this weekend has been canceled (if you saw their tech rider, your eyes would roll back into your throat, and make you gag!). The second, was a reaction from my boss on an e-mail I wrote:

Very good email. Maybe your best ever. Polite, to the point, helpful, strong.
Even in this rain, I got a lil sunshine. Let's hope it lasts. It's positive reinforcement like this that reminds me why I followed this man halfway across the country.
