Zoe: Is there any way I'm gonna get out of this with honor and dignity? Wash: You're pretty much down to ritual suicide, lambie-toes.

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Yeah, but you don't want to marry me. Well, Trudy might, for the lulz.

I wouldn't marry anyone for the lulz even if he left me the best voice mail in history.

You're not going to kill your Mom. She didn't die when you switched majors or stopped working for your Uncle or any of the other things you did and she didn't want you to do. She's tougher than she lets on.

Have a good cry, nobody likes rejection regardless of why.

“Not dead yet!”

I get ragey and asscappy about this because my own mother has done things like this my entire life. Making every fucking thing about my life into HER issue. And when I didn't live up to the parameters that she imposed, she would lose her shit and make me feel horrible for "hurting" her.

Basically, Teppy and I are as one, here. Mom-centric mind-control is the worst. I tell my mother that the title of Joan of Arc was already quite capably filled in a fiery sort of fashion.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I just talked to my dad. My mom's getting discharged from the hospital.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I'm glad to hear it, Hil.

“Not dead yet!”

That's great, Hil.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Great news Hil!

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Glad to hear about you mom, Hil.

and so very glad to hear that something you learned about at work , translates into other parts of you life. Insight, esp. over something you have seen as normal, is a really good thing.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Yay for the good news Hil.

P-C, my mom made my homosexuality All About Her when I came out ten yrs ago, so I sympathize with what you're feeling and the struggle to separate yourself from her reaction.

Somebody tell me it's just as well that I was all slobby and sweaty when I ran into a friend/former crush today. I think I'm pretty much finally over the whole thing, but his crooked smile still makes my heart splash in my chest. This is TCF from my lj, if anyone remembers that saga. We talked for 45 min, which was nice.

Speaking of sweaty and slobby, I'm off to take a shower.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Glad to hear it, Hil.

And PC, you aren't hurting your mom. Your mom is keeping up with the Jones. You're not a fucking toaster oven. She'll deal. And you'll find the more assertive you are, the less unhappy you'll be. It's not always easy - it's a skill, and like all skills, you get better at it with practice.

ION, I am looking around my apartment at all the stuff I have. I haven't moved in 8 years- I have a lit of culling to do.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Smonster's got a mother? Huh. So you didn't get here by parthenogenosis after all.
