My cooking spurt was last week but I have some steaks I could defrost and I could make horseradish sour cream.
'Lies My Parents Told Me'
Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I am going to try to do a turkey leg braise in the slow cooker and also make turkey meatballs for pasta during the week. We'll see how things go tomorrow...
I put four eggs in a pan of water and one of them floated so I threw it out. I hardboiled them and now another one is floating. Should I toss it too?
I thought it was only if they floated raw.
(Also, considering some of the processed crap that I eat, I really can't be too concerned about a bit of chemical leaching from plastic containers. Once I stop eating some of that junk food, I'll feel a bit more justified in trying to avoid plastic.)
I thought that we only had to worry about that if you heated the plastic, it was okay if it was in the fridge.
Well, I usually microwave the frozen broth before I use it. Plus, I'm paranoid.
Hi, all, and thanks for all the lovely recup wishes! I did get more painkillers -- what I THOUGHT was generic Vicodin was generic Lortab and I dunno what that is, except it works, so yay!
I am able to take short walkies, so yesterday I walked to the corner salon and got my brows waxed and my bob shaped, and know feel almost human.
I am being very good about not pick up heavy shit, and am feeling fine.
Hooray Erin!
First march post!
Timelies, all. The cooking posts are making me hungry. Luckily I have a fridge full of food, because we're expecting a winter storm here this afternoon, so the stores will be filled with panicked North Carolinians buying all the bread and milk they can lay their hands on. My upstairs neighbor has declared today Due South marathon madness day, so I'll be making chocolate chip cookies and watching Paul Gross be hot as the sleet ticks on the windows. Pretty much my definition of a perfect day.
