Uh, are we gonna fight, or is there just gonna be a monster sarcasm rally?

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Man, our ancestors probably killed each other! Or, at the very least, got drunk and puked on each other.

If your family's anything like mine, they probably got drunk, had sex, smoked a cigarette, had a baby, and THEN killed each other.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Family Lore: The first Smay in America was at Valley Forge. (Though more likely it was his son, since they were all named John.) Somebody else on my Dad's side was an outlaw in the west.

German-speakers from Pennsylvania who trekked to the Territory and founded small farming communities.

This describes most of my family too. There was a Smaysville in Idaho (I think it was Idaho) at one point when three brothers joined their large farms into an incorporated town. Also, Googling my name turns up a namesake as a prisoner at Andersonville (a book I had to read in high school).

You left out "passed out" somewhere in there.

Oh, right. Well, at least one party could be passed out at any point on the line, there. If it's possible to smoke a cigarette while passed out, my mom probably invented the method.

And they wondered why I couldn't breathe.

Electromagnetic candy! - Stark

This describes most of my family too.

And a lot of E. Washington...like the town of Odessa, where English is taught in school, German being spoken in the home first.

Still. (Well, as recently as the late 80s, when I was a student at WSU, and had several classmates from the area around Odessa.)

I don't know what Galaxy Minstrels are. I imagined a merry band of green-skinned troubadors wearing skimpy skintight silvery suits bounding through your living room. Tasty, are they?

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Galaxy Minstrels are GINORMOUS M&M's from England. I've been told they were the precursor to Dove chocolate.
